Abstract: A ballpoint dot pen tattoo cartridge includes a ballpoint pen element comprising an ink reservoir housed within a tapered bottom barrel providing a first barrel aperture and flanged top surface. A second barrel aperture in cylindrical top of the barrel includes a diameter larger than the first aperture with an assembly to attach the barrel cylindrical top to a tattoo machine. A resilient element within the barrel is sized to receive the ballpoint pen element between the first barrel aperture flanged top surface and two equal sized tabs on the ballpoint pen providing exit and retraction of the ballpoint pen assembly for ink discharge from the cartridge barrel tapered bottom whereby a tattoo machine operator controls the driving actuation of the tattoo machine to the ballpoint pen tip for controlling inked markings of a material.

Abstract: A device for extracting lipstick from a lipstick holder and forming a new holder for application of the extracted lipstick. The device includes a housing formed around a sliding barrel movably disposed within a tube. The sliding barrel includes a tab that extends through an aperture of the housing, wherein the tab allows a user to move the sliding barrel between an extended position and a retracted position. The tube has a circumference smaller than a circumference of the lipstick holder, such that an upper end of tube can be circumscribed by the lipstick holder. A remaining portion of lipstick within the lipstick holder is removed by the sliding barrel and received within the housing when the sliding barrel is retracted. A lipstick securing member extends from an upper end of the sliding barrel to assist in the extraction of the lipstick from the lipstick holder.

Engagement features of the cap and barrel may include steep threads that enable the cap to be assembled with and disassembled from the barrel with one rotation (360°) or less. A clip on the cap may include a closed end that defines a receptacle, with the closed end and receptacle extending beyond a corresponding end of the cap. In addition, the closed end and receptacle may extend partially over the corresponding end of the cap.

Accordingly, the use of the first spring part 5a and the second spring part 5b allows, for example, achieving absorbing an impact in both directions of an axial direction and sequential movements of the components constituting the cosmetic container, thus allowing providing wide variety of functions with the one spring. For example, the use of the stepped part 5d also allows locking the component constituting the cosmetic container.

Abstract: The present invention describes a mechanism and method for retracting an instrument. In a rearward position, a sliding weight aligns an elongated assembly with a rear canal allowing the assembly to slide backward into the canal thereby retracting. When the weight slides forward, it collides with a protrusion on the elongated assembly forcing the elongated assembly forward and pulling the rear of the elongated assembly out of the rear canal. Once the elongated assembly is pulled out of the rear canal, it is unlikely to spontaneously return to the canal and contacts an internal shoulder which locks the elongated assembly in a forward position. Alternatively, means are provided to lock the elongated assembly out of the rear canal when in forward position. Preferably the weight is moved between the forward and rearward position by shaking.

Abstract: A water based ink composition for a ballpoint pen containing ?-carrageenan in addition to a dye, water and a water-soluble organic solvent. When used in the ball point pen, the ink composition satisfies an ink drooling prevention and a drying resistance which are mutually incompatible functions and is excellent in writing performance regardless of containing a dye as a coloring agent. The ink composition (c) is used, for example, by accommodating a refill (12) whose ink accommodating tube (18) is filled with the ink composition and which is further loaded with an ink backflow-preventing member (20) in the ballpoint pen (10) whose writing edge is retracted and extruded from a front end opening of a barrel (21).

Abstract: A liquid applicator adapted to prevent an application liquid from leaking or drying with a small biasing force. A tip unit for a liquid applicator of the present invention includes a tubular member and a valve member. The valve member is biased toward a distal end thereof by a biasing member so as to seal a distal opening portion of the tubular member. The distal opening portion includes a first tapered surface and a second tapered surface located at a proximal side of the first tapered surface. The first and the second tapered surfaces are in contact with a tapered area and a ring of the valve member, respectively, so as to seal the distal opening portion.
