The device makes an exhaustive cleaning of the stem when the latter is extracted from the bottle. It completely removes the exceeding contents present on the bristles and when the applicator is again inserted into the bottle, the device makes an efficacious hydraulic seal around the stem body, that avoids the product from drying.

The brush units each consists of a handle having a rectangular cross-section, and an interproximal cleaning means, such as bristles or a dental floss, fixed to an end of the handle. The interproximal brush also has a casing consisting of two reception parts. In this case, the reception parts have a hollow box shape for receiving the brush units, and contain gargle and disinfectant therein, respectively. Further, a sealing unit is provided at a position around a mouth of each of the two reception parts.

An applicator pad is rotatably conjoined about the handle and nested within the reservoir in such a manner that the applicator pad becomes impregnated with the lotion during non-operating conditions. The applicator pad has an open top end portion wherein the handle is positioned therethrough. The applicator pad maintains a static relationship with the reservoir as the handle is linearly extracted from the reservoir.

A funnel is disposed within an open neck in the container and includes a rigid member and a flexible member which together define an orifice. A button slidably disposed in the container can be manually depressed so as to urge against the flexible member of the funnel. Accordingly, depression of the button regulates the size of the funnel orifice through which the applicator passes and, in turn, the amount of mascara which is retained onto the applicator upon removal from the container assembly.
