The receptacle may include an opening through which the applicator element passes while the applicator element is being removed from the receptacle. The applicator element may include at least one inner cavity that is defined, at least in part, between at least two branches that are at least partially flocked. An outside cross-section of the applicator element may be large enough for the applicator element to deform while passing through the opening of the receptacle, the deformation resulting in a shape of the cavity being modified.

Abstract: The present invention generally is a wiper for a container for dispensing and dispensing cosmetic or care products. More particularly, the invention relates to a wiper member that is novel and inventive by way of its construction such that it prevents air from getting pumped/entrapped inside the container during usage. There is provided a wiper member that helps in increasing the life of the product by allowing it to remain in its original fluid state and prevents drying out of the product. Further, the wiper member by virtue of its internal configuration results in efficient wiping of the applicator element and at the same time provides an anti-pumping action by allowing the air to pass through the air vents in it. Also disclosed is a wiper member that is able to regulate the amount of product retained on the applicator when a force is either applied or removed from its central axis.

The applicator is surrounded by a protective sleeve in the reservoir. The protective sleeve is rigidly connected with the reservoir. The inner diameter of the protective sleeve is constant in the vicinity of an applicator tip of the applicator and exceeds the outer diameter of the applicator penetrating into the reservoir. The protective sleeve extends down to a bottom of the reservoir and bears against the bottom via a resilient sleeve portion. As a result, an applicator device is obtained which provides for protection of the applicator tip and is easy to fabricate.

Abstract: A retractable mascara applicator that can be operated with one hand. The applicator has a pen-like housing containing a mascara reservoir. An applicator rod is reciprocable in the housing and extends into the reservoir from a rearward end. A brush on a forward end of the rod is positioned in the reservoir when the rod is in a retracted position and projects beyond the housing when the rod is extended. A finger operated slide outside of the housing is connected directly with the applicator rod to retract it and extend it. In a preferred embodiment at least a portion of the housing is pliable and can be pressed inwardly to squeeze the reservoir and press the mascara paste against the brush.

A dog-bone shaped sealing structure on the wand forms a hermetic seal with the middle seal. The dry chamber is opened by pulling opposite tabs to peel the front wall from the back wall. When the wand is pulled from the pouch, a flange on the wand expands the middle seal to form a wiper opening in the product reservoir. The wiper opening is sized to wipe the applicator end of the wand, or an applicator attached to the end of the wand.

When the wand is pulled from the pouch, a flange on the wand expands the middle seal to form a wiper opening in the product reservoir. The wiper opening is sized to wipe the applicator end of the wand, or an applicator attached to the end of the wand.

Abstract: A correction fluid applicator with an applicator tip attached via a stem to the cap of a container containing correction fluid. The applicator tip slides into a foam sleeve made from soft polyurethane or polyester foam. This sleeve is fixed over the applicator tip at the distal end of a specially designed stem. The foam sleeve has absorbent qualities that enhance the storage of correction fluid during the transfer from container to application surface. The applicator can be inserted into the container so that the foam sleeve is at least partially immersed in correction fluid even when the quantity of fluid is low.

The disk shaped closure membrane is provided with slits therethrough which extend radially from the center of the closure member for thereby providing flexible pie shaped segments for permitting ingress and egress of the dauber to and from the container through the closure membrane with wiper application of the flexible segments.

The wedges form opposite outwardly directed, semi-elliptical bonding surfaces that intersect at an acute angle. Abstract: A wiping cap closure device used for removing the non-calibrated residue fluid attached to the outside surface of a pipette tip during the fluid transfer from a container. The wiping cap is constructed using a conical shaped resilient wiper section extending to a conical tip. The conical shaped wiper section is configured to include at least one helical formed slot extending from said conical tip forming at least one wiping finger. The wiping finger is resiliently held against the outside surface of the pipette tip inserted therethrough during the fluid transfer. The wiping finger provides squeegee like means to remove all of the non-calibrated residue fluid inadvertently attached to the outside surface of the tip as the pipette tip is withdrawn from the container leaving the non-calibrated residue fluid within the container for further evaluations or tests.

The kit includes a jar filled with nail polish remover solution, a sponge-like filler inside the jar for absorbing a portion of the solution, and a removable lid with an attached wand having a dauber and a scraper. The solution-saturated filler has vertical slits that allow the user to remove polish from a fingernail, while the jar lid with integrated wand and attached dauber provides for removing polish from toenails and other harder to reach spots.
