In one example, the device includes an internal paint reservoir, an internally fed paint applicator configured to apply a liquid coating of paint to a surface, and a pump assembly configured to draw paint from the internal paint reservoir and pump the paint to the paint applicator. In one example, the device includes an internally fed paint applicator assembly configured to apply a liquid coating of paint to a surface, an elongate handle, and a paint pump assembly disposed between the paint applicator assembly and the handle, and configured to deliver paint to the paint applicator assembly.

Abstract: A fountain applicator handle includes a body having a side part extending laterally therefrom the body, the side part communicating with the body. A neck section is defined in the first passage of the body and has a tapered shoulder defined in the first passage, the tapered shoulder located near the front end of the body to which a roller is attached. A control device has a bar extending radially from the first end thereof and an insert extends from the bar. An aperture is defined between the bar and the insert. The control device is movably inserted into the body and the insert is movably inserted into the side part. The bar normally close the second passage. A block has a tapered end thereof engaged with the tapered shoulder and is fixedly connected to the second end of the control device.

The marking device comprises a coloring fluid container molded from an aliphatic polyester resin, and a coloring fluid containing a solvent mainly comprising an aliphatic hydrocarbon and/or an alicyclic hydrocarbon.

Abstract: A brush having a bundle of bristles connected to a handle and being provided with a chamber to be filled with a liquid material is disclosed. The chamber includes pressurizing means for maintaining the liquid material under continuous pressure and closure means for preventing the liquid material from flowing from the chamber to the bristles. The chamber is also integrally connected with the brush and is connected to the bundle of bristles in a liquid-conductive relationship by means of a tubular conduit. The bundle of bristles is set into a separate head mounted for sliding movement on the handle, thereby rendering the conduit and bundle axially slidable relative to each other between a first use position and a second filling position.

Abstract: A paint valve for use with an automatic roller apparatus comprises a valve body connected at one end to the roller to provide paint thereto and at the other end to a paint reservoir in the handle. A valve stem is mounted within a cavity in a portion projecting outwardly at an angle from the body. The valve stem is designed to engage a fill tube mounted on a paint can. Pushing down on the fill tube forces the stem upwardly opening the valve cavity and paint reservoir tube and closing the cavity to the roller head. A pump shaft creates a suction drawing paint through the fill tube, valve stem and out two holes in the stem into a paint reservoir. When the valve body is removed from the end of the fill tube, the valve closes off the intake and opens the cavity leading to the roller head.

Abstract: A fountain applicator handle is disclosed for providing a continuous supply of a liquid coating to an applicator head for application onto a surface. The fountain applicator handle includes an elongated hollow reservoir with a sliding displacement piston disposed therein. A valve body is attached thereto and adapted for attachment to a coating supply, with the valve body allowing the communication of the coating into the reservoir while preventing the outflow of the coating to the applicator, and controllably communicating the coating from the reservoir to the applicator. Specifically, a fill tube is insertable through a check valve and sealable in a tapered segment in the fill channel of the valve body. In the most preferred form, the check valve is biased in a closed position independent of back pressure of the liquid coating.
