  • Patent number: 8016508
Abstract: As an inner moving body of a cosmetic brush is pushed, an upper cone type elastic part and a lower cone type elastic part are compressed, thereby opening an inner hole and discharging powder toward a brush. When the inner moving body is released, the inner moving body returns to its original position by the elasticity of a spring inserted around the circumference of a middle member and by expansive force of the upper cone type elastic part and the lower cone type elastic part. An inner hole is closed by a sealing sill formed on circumference of a sealing pin so that powder is not discharging. Thereby, the brush can control the amount of powder to be discharged with the spring inserted around the circumference of a middle member and the expansive force of the upper cone type elastic part and the lower cone type elastic part which are formed on the middle member.

  • Patent number: 5169252
Abstract: A cleaning implement is provided with an internal valve for automatic water shut-off which can be regulated by hand. The implement connects to a conventional water supply, for example, a garden hose. When the valve is open, water is supplied through a removable sponge or brush to a surface to be cleaned. The valve is opened when two portions of the implement are pivoted with respect to each other. This can be done by pressing the sponge or brush against a surface to be cleaned, pivoting the two portions of the implement and thereby opening the valve. Alternatively, the two portions can be held by handles, one in either hand, and pivoted to open and close the valve. An opening is provided in the brush or sponge to allow water to stream from a nozzle to the surface to be cleaned, unobstructed. A soap dispenser is also incorporated into the implement. The nozzle and soap dispenser direct fluid from the user when the implement is held in the hands. The implement may be used with other fluids not water.

Abstract: A liquid applicator according to the present invention includes an inner shaft as a liquid reservoir, an applying member, and a valve, wherein near the front end of the inner shaft there is provided a head portion which is non-circular in cross-section along the direction perpendicular to the axial line. At a position in front of the head portion of the inner shaft in an unknocked state, there is provided a controlling wall through which has been bored a through hole which is so designed that the head portion of the inner shaft can pass through the hole when it advances thereby keeping a position in a certain phase of the circumferential direction, while it cannot pass through that hole when keeping a position in another phase.

  • Patent number: 5092702
Abstract: A fluid discharge device includes a valve seat, a valve body biased rearwardly with respect to the valve seat and a pusher disposed at the back of the valve body so that it can be moved forwardly to open a valve against the biasing force when a forward push force is applied. The pusher is disposed inside a shaft body so that the push force is applied indirectly to the pusher through a fluid tank removably attached to the pusher. Outward protuberances are disposed on the outer wall of the pusher, recesses are formed on the inner wall of the shaft body, and the protuberances of the pusher are positioned in the recesses to limit the rotation of the pusher. The invention relates also to a fluid discharge member wherein, when a fluid is a liquid, the pusher is biased rearward in such a manner as to define a space between it and the valve body when no push force is applied, and an engagement portion with the pusher is disposed on the shaft body so as to limit the rearward displacement of the pusher.

A chamber is provided between the valve and the coating liquid storage part. A means is provided that interrupts the communication between the chamber and the coating liquid storage part when knocking occurs and the chamber then comes into communication with the coating member, interrupting the communication between the chamber and the coating member when knocking is over and the chamber again communicates with the coating liquid storage part. Thus, only a maximum volume of the coating liquid, that is stored in the chamber, can be supplied to the coating member.
