    Abstract: A disposable toothbrush apparatus incorporates a dentifrice and at least one rinsing fluid within its hollow body. The apparatus includes a brush component having a series of bristles secured to it and an opening between the bristles that connects to an internal lumen within the apparatus containing the dentifrice for automatic dispensing thereof. The apparatus also includes a handle component with a hollow interior portion. The tapered upper end of the handle forms a coupling area adapted to fit within the lumen of the brush component. The hollow handle component contains compartments for rinsing fluid so that no external source of liquid is required to brush ones teeth.

The toothbrush bar is hinged to the toothpaste container by a spherical hinged joint formed by the end of the toothbrush bar. The spherical hinged joint controls the valve to discharge toothpaste in the toothpaste container into the pipe channel and the toothbrush head. The invention is convenient especially for children, the elder, the blind and the disabled.

A cap fitted on one end of the tubular body has a rod attached to it, and an applicator is attached at the other end or the rod. A removable container is at the lower end of the tubular body. A deformable part is disposed above the container whereby pressing down and releasing the cap causes mascara to be drawn into the applicator tube from the removable container to impregnate the applicator, which can then be withdrawn from the tubular body to apply the mascara. In another embodiment, the applicator moves between a retracted position inside the tubular body and an extended position when the removable container is pushed into the tubular body and thereafter withdrawn.

A valve is provided for opening and closing the passageway formed by the tubing and for providing flow through the passageway to the brush portion. The valve is actuated by a pivoting motion of the actuation portion with respect to the handle portion. The valve includes a roller which engages the flexible tubing and squeezes same, such that the normal rest position of the actuation portion with respect to the handle portion closes the tubing.

    Abstract: A cleaning implement is provided with an internal valve for automatic water shut-off which can be regulated by hand. The implement connects to a conventional water supply, for example, a garden hose. When the valve is open, water is supplied through a removable sponge or brush to a surface to be cleaned. The valve is opened when two portions of the implement are pivoted with respect to each other. This can be done by pressing the sponge or brush against a surface to be cleaned, pivoting the two portions of the implement and thereby opening the valve. Alternatively, the two portions can be held by handles, one in either hand, and pivoted to open and close the valve. An opening is provided in the brush or sponge to allow water to stream from a nozzle to the surface to be cleaned, unobstructed. A soap dispenser is also incorporated into the implement. The nozzle and soap dispenser direct fluid from the user when the implement is held in the hands. The implement may be used with other fluids not water.

    Abstract: A brush with automatic water shut-off is disclosed. The brush includes a handle portion pivotally connected to a body portion with a valve chamber intermediate to control water flow through the brush. A flutter valve is loosely positioned within the valve chamber and is continuously biased toward the valve chamber seat by the water pressure. An operating rod is movable within the body portion and extends past the plane of the seat. When the brush is not in use, water pressure forces the flutter valve toward the seat and contact between the flutter valve and the operating rod causes the body portion and handle portion to be pivotally offset with no water flowing. When the brush bristles contact the surface to be cleaned, the body and brush portions are urged into axial alignment about the pivot whereby the operating rod will force the flutter valve off of its seat, thereby automatically causing water flow through the brush.
