The device encloses a reservoir contained in a hollow handle for storing a cleaning solution, with a cap connected to one end of the handle and a base connected to the other end of the handle. A manually operated flow control mechanism opens a valve which seals at least one exit or dispensing orifice at or near the base of the reservoir, and thereby allows volume of cleaning solution to be dispensed at a reasonably fast, controlled rate of flow. In one embodiment, manually operated vacuum pressure release orifices are located at the opposite end of the reservoir from the exit orifice and are normally closed, but may be opened to minimize or eliminate any vacuum (subatmospheric pressure) in the reservoir, thereby aiding the flow of liquid from the reservoir through the exit orifice.

The distal end of each flow tube fits into a common flow directing nozzle which contains a bristle brush for applying the sauce to food. The drip proof valves are designed to accommodate sauces of varying viscosities and sauces containing chunky ingredients. The bristle brush is detachable and easily replaced with brushes of varying stiffness. By rotating a particular container, the container is caused to extend at an acute angle from the axis of the dispenser.

    Abstract: A toothbrush having a brushing unit and a dentifrice containing cartridge unit. The cartridge unit is shaped to permit it to be comfortably held in the hand and has a squeezable wall for the purpose of expelling dentifrice from the dentifrice-containing chamber therein. The dentifrice passage extending from the chamber to the brushing unit is normally closed by a valve which opens by the force of the dentifrice when the cartridge is squeezed. A check valve permits air to replace dentifrice that has been expelled from the cartridge chamber. The dentifrice may be introduced directly into the cartridge chamber, or it may be placed in a bag or tube and the dentifrice-containing bag or tube placed in the chamber. The bag or tube may have screw threaded or slip on type openings at one or both ends or one or both ends may be pierced by a needle or the like to allow the dentifrice to be squeezed out.
