    Abstract: A squeeze applicator comprises a handle transitioning into a head, with a cavity therein being fillable with a dispensable substance. A flexible material may block each orifice, except for a length-wise slit, to inhibit substance outflow until pressure is applied to the cover. A plurality of lateral slits may be added to form finger like members being normally biased to seal the orifice. Foil may also cover the orifices until dispensing occurs, where the foil ruptures to uncover the orifices. Spiked members on the cover portion may protrude in toward the cavity when the cover is closed, to more easily pierce the foil when pressure is applied to the bulbous cover.

    Abstract: The cleaning device includes a squeeze-bottle with a spout and a brush extending from the spout. A flow restrictor prevents cleaning fluid from being dispersed from the spout to the brush until the bottle is squeezed. The flow restrictor is formed simply by inserting the twisted wire handle of the brush into a tube forming the outlet of the spout. The length of the tube and the twisted wire can be selected to give the desired amount of flow restriction. The device is particularly well adapted for use in cleaning solder flux and other undesirable substances from printed circuit boards after they have been assembled. The cleaning device is relatively compact, inexpensive to make, and simple to use.

    Abstract: A dentifrice dispensing toothbrush is described which utilizes a compressible elastic button to pump a controlled quantity of dentifrice material from a replaceable cartridge to the brush head. The toothbrush locks itself to prevent further pumping of dentifrice material when its replaceable cartridge is nearly empty. The self locking mechanism eliminates the formation of voids in the dentifrice material and consequent pump failure when the spent cartridge is replaced. In one embodiment, a cover is provided which protects the brush head, bristles, pumping mechanism and other parts of the toothbrush. The cover also seals the conduit which supplies dentifrice material to the brush head to prevent it from becoming clogged with dried dentifrice material during periods of non use and to prevent accidental compression of the button.

    Abstract: A liquid applicator structure which has an application tip fixed to front end of a cylindrical body and a liquid supply assembly built in its rear end. The liquid supply assembly includes a rotatable rod composed of a cylindrical shank-and-operating end and a solid rod having male threads thereon. The rotatable rod is held with an anti-rotation member having a cantilever-like extension. A split slide member having two split extensions is engaged with the rotatable rod at its rear end. One of these split extensions is inserted within the cantilever-like extension of the anti-rotation member and the rotatable rod, thereby preventing the split slide member from rotating. A piston member abuts on the split slide member. Rotation of the rotatable rod causes the split slide member and the piston to advance and drive liquid toward the application tip.

    Abstract: A squeezeable container for holding and dispensing decontaminating powder is disclosed. The squeezeable container comprises a brush assembly and gripping means. The brush assembly is attached to the top section of the container in a screw-like manner, and comprises a brush formed of bristles which have a portion that is heat set so as to be held together in a semi-rigid manner. The bristles are arranged to form a reservoir within the brush assembly. The reservoir has an exit section closed off by the semi-rigid bristles, and an entrance section closed off by a plug member. The gripping means has a first end attached to the plug member and a second end extending out of the semi-rigid bristles. The pulling of the gripping means removes the plug from the dispenser and opens the brush reservoir. A squeezing action of the container puffs the powder within the container into the brush reservoir, and movement of brush dispenses the powder over any designed contaminated area.
