Unitary Clip Or Plug Patents (Class 403/155)
  • Patent number: 11524619
Abstract: A tie-down loop assembly is configured to attach to a mounting surface and includes a mounting bracket, a biasing member, and a loop-isolator assembly. The mounting bracket has at least one carrier feature that has a carrier articulation axis. The loop-isolator assembly includes a loop having a substantially straight portion with a loop articulation axis and an isolator coupled to the loop straight portion. The isolator has a contact element and a loop-isolator articulation axis located coincidentally with the carrier articulation axis. When an articulation force is applied to the loop-isolator assembly, it causes the loop-isolator assembly to articulate relative to the mounting bracket, while the isolator contact element slippingly engages the biasing member movable portion. The engagement applies a biasing force to the contact element causing resistance to articulate the loop-isolator assembly relative to the bracket.

Abstract: There is described a bicycle seat post assembly in which the travel distance of the seat post can be adjusted. The seat post assembly includes an outer tube that is configured to telescopically receive an inner tube. The inner tube is axially slidable relative to the outer tube between a retracted position and an extension position, the extension position being determined by an extension assembly in which a slider engages an upper retainer surface, thereby setting the upper limit of axial extension of the inner tube. The extension of the inner tube can be limited to an intermediary extension position that lies between the retracted and extension positions by an insertable extension stopper that is positionable under the upper retainer surface.

  • Patent number: 9878754
Abstract: A height adjusting device for a bicycle seat post provides an up-down adjust unit. All the oil-flow control elements of the height adjusting device are arranged inside the up-down adjust unit. The oil flows between the valve port and the oil-block plate are blocked by both the oil-block plate and the valve port touching tightly in an up-down engaging manner. By the structure, what repairing the oil-flow control elements needs is to replace the up-down adjust unit when the oil-flow control elements are out of work. Therefore, it is convenient to repair and assemble. The valve port and the oil-block plate are arranged up and down so that they may touch each other closely in surfaces engaging. Thus, it provides good oil-blocking effects. Besides, the oil-block plate receives no shear stress occurring in the prior art generated from suddenly pressing down the seat. Therefore, it has a long service life.

A shaft joint having an engagement groove to be engaged with the engagement portion and a bore facing the engagement groove is provided with a flexible member which is provided on an outer side in a longitudinal direction of the engagement groove to be engaged with the positioning recess. When an insufficient amount of engagement prevents engagement in the correct position, the engagement portion contacts with the flexible member and prevents the shaft body from engaging with the shaft joint. When canceling the coupling for maintenance, etc., the engagement of the flexible member with the positioning recess is cancelled by deflecting the flexible member in a width direction of the engagement groove. Consequently, the shaft body can be easily pulled out in a longitudinal direction of the engagement groove.

The integrated coupling is defined by an arcuate slot extending through the torque member in concentric spaced relationship to a pivot axle aperture. A transverse slot in the torque member communicates with the arcuate slot to define a pair of resilient arms having, in the preferred embodiment, outwardly projecting tabs at their free ends extending in a direction orthogonal to the plane of the torque member. Such construction allows a tool, such as a flat-bladed screwdriver, to be easily inserted between the ends of the arcuate arms for deflecting the arms outwardly from the pivot axle, which they surround, to release the armrest from a captive circumferential recess in the pivot axle for removal of the armrest.

  • Patent number: 6098489
Abstract: A cable strand end-fitting having a housing which defines a longitudinal bore with internal threads to receive a screw member with external threads, the threads cooperate to allow axial movement of the screw member relative to the housing. A longitudinal passageway through the screw member receives a cable strand extending therethrough, one end of the cable strand is a terminal end bulb which abuts the screw member so the axial movement of the screw member adjusts the cable strand. The housing includes a mounting portion having a cylindrical opening generally perpendicular to the longitudinal bore, the cylindrical opening is adapted to be disposed over a mounting post along the longitudinal axis of the mounting post. A retainer clip secures the end-fitting to the mounting post with opposed locking teeth which are adapted to be positioned through diametrically opposed slots in the mounting portion of the housing thereby engaging the mounting post for securement.

Abstract: A bottom mount pin retainer is disclosed for retaining a mounting pin detachably mounting a first member of a ground engaging tool to a second member thereof. The pin retainer utilizes a retainer assemblage that is adapted to relieve a snap-ring employed for retaining the pin from high axial loads in an upward direction while preventing axial movement of the pin in a downward direction. A non-load bearing member used has sufficient load bearing capacity to restrain the upward movement of the snap-ring during the insertion of the pin into the pin openings in order to seat the snap-ring in its snap-ring groove in the pin.

  • Patent number: 5816732
Abstract: A connection device for use with a cable includes a link member to permit connection to another article and a housing formed in the link member having a passage therethrough including an annular cavity of larger diameter than the passage. There is a shaft member fixedly mountable to a cable and insertable into the housing passage. The shaft member is formed with an external annular groove. A clip member is mountable in the external annular groove. The connection device is assembled by insertion of the shaft member through the housing passage in a first longitudinal direction to expose the annular groove. The clip member is mounted in the exposed annular groove of the shaft member and the shaft member is retracted into the housing passage in the opposite longitudinal direction to pivotally and releasably connect the link member and the shaft member by virtue of the clip member rotatably engaging in the annular cavity of the housing passage.

  • Patent number: 5772355
Abstract: An eyepiece adapter mechanism for providing a quick positive engagement to an interfacing instrument such as a B-styled endoscope. The adapter mechanism comprises a rigid back plate for providing a permanent attachment for the mechanism. A C-clip retainer positioned within a circumferential chamber of the back plate acts as a locking ring under the elastic force of the C-clip material itself to provide a grip around the interfacing instrument when installed into the back plate. An outwardly protruding portion of the C-clip, acting as a lever, releases the interfacing instrument when the level is moved toward a fixed post located a predetermined distance from the lever to facilitate single handed operation. An alternate embodiment provides a quick attach/release adapter without an eyepiece and employing a C-clip retainer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a retainer in the form of a circlip for holding a connector or the like in a bore in a wall. The connector has a peripheral groove for receiving the circlip and the circlip has inwardly extending lugs at its free ends and an integral tongue on its inner periphery at an intermediate position around the circlip. The circlip also has three cam-like projections at its free ends and intermediate locations. A connector to be located in the bore in the wall is inserted through the bore with the circlip in place and the projections cause the circlip to be pressed into the groove in the connector as the circlip passes through the bore. Once through the bore, the circlip springs outwardly to engage behind the wall and retain the connector in place.

  • Patent number: 5417613
Abstract: A structure for retaining a bearing cup mounted on a universal joint cross within an opening formed through an arm of an end yoke during use. An external circumferential groove is formed about the outer surface of the bearing cup. An internal circumferential groove is formed about the inner surface of the opening formed through the arm of the end yoke. A recessed area is formed on a surface of the arm of the end yoke adjacent to the opening. The recesses area is of sufficient depth that it extends below the internal groove formed within the opening. Thus, a portion of the internal groove is exposed to the arm surface. To retain the bearing cup within the opening, a snap ring having a ventral portion and a pair of leg portions is installed such that the leg portions extend into the internal groove formed in the opening. The bearing cup is inserted within the opening until the external groove on the bearing cup is aligned with the internal groove formed in the opening.
