Abstract: A cartridge pin mounting wherein a cartridge pin is secured in accurately preselected relationship to a frame having a mounting hole opening through an outer surface thereof. An outer surface associated with the pin is urged into flush relationship with the outer surface of the frame by a retainer which, in turn, is locked in the frame opening by a suitable locking ring. The outer surface of the pin may be defined by a ring structure at the outer end of the pin, and in the illustrated embodiment, the pin projects slightly from the ring portion.
Abstract: A fastener such as a clip or key is provided for securing two movable members together and which fastener is inseparable from one of said members and yet is easily operative for assembly and disassembly of said one member to or from said other member. The fastener has a mounting part which is a first planar portion with an open center section, said portion being guidingly trapped or captivated for reciprocating movement in a track in said one member. The fastener has an attaching part which is a second planar portion spaced from and joined to said first planar portion which second portion has a pair of resilient fingers adapted to be reciprocated with the mounting part between a locking position with said fingers in a groove in a projecting part of said other member and an unlocking position permitting said members to be separated.
Abstract: In a shackle the shackle arms are bored to receive a pin and the pin and the bore through which the pin first enters, are shaped so that a plate, initially convex toward the pin may be flattened over the end of the pin and anchor itself in recesses in the shackle to retain the pin.
