  • Patent number: 9215860
Abstract: The present invention is a device for use by infants or pets which provides a fence for use by infants or pets to confine their activities within a restricted area so that caring of the infants or pets can become easier. The present invention comprises an assembly of fence plates rotatable in relation to each other, wherein the adjacent fence plates are assembled with each other by means of a rotating axle. The fence has a bottom portion which is disposed with fixing members. The present invention assembles a plurality of the fence plates to form a fence. The fence is fixed on the ground by the fixing members to prevent it from sliding. When infants or pets are put into an area restricted by the fence, they can enjoy sufficient rooms for activities. It is also possible to prevent the infants or pets from escaping out of the fence and to confine their activities within a restricted area, thus accidents due to absence of care could be avoided.

Abstract: An orthopedic brace, specifically for a knee, has an antifriction mechanical joint to provide easier movement and has the ability of being custom made for different geometries of rotational movements and ranges. The antifriction mechanical joint has a first bearing plate and a second bearing plate which mate with bearing surfaces of a link. The bearing plates each have a cavity therein and a cam rests in each cavity and is attached to each of the bearing surfaces of the link. Rollers fit between the cams and the cavity so when the joint is flexed, there is only rolling movement between the rollers and the contact surfaces of the cams and rollers.

Abstract: A tractor-loader-backhoe is disclosed wherein the loader mechanism is mounted on the frame of the prime mover by a tapered pivot pin or sleeve having a fastener extending entirely through the axis of the pivot pin or sleeve to effect a clamping load operable to seat the tapered pivot pin or sleeve in the conical hub affixed to the frame of the prime mover to assure a firm fastening of the loader mechanism on the prime mover. The backhoe mechanism is provided with a transport lock remotely actuatable from the operator's cab mounted on the prime mover and incorporating a locking pin having a concentric spring mounted thereon to urge the pin out of engagement with the frame whenever the transport lock is disengaged to permit operation of the backhoe mechanism. The boom and dipper members of the backhoe mechanism are constructed from a pair of opposing C-shaped channels having inwardly directed legs centrally located within the boom and dipper members.

  • Patent number: 5082387
Abstract: A pivot joint for a rotary lever has a spacer extending axially from a foundation such as an engine motor component. The spacer includes a cylindrical ferrule. A rotary lever and a belleville spring, both having a bore of a size to fit over the outside of the ferrule in a sliding fit, are slid over the ferrule. The belleville spring has an uncompressed cone height to thickness ratio of 1.4 to 1.8 and is compressed by at least 50% of the uncompressed cone height. The joint also includes a means for fastening the spacer to the foundation and a means for securing the lever and belleville spring onto the ferrule. The securing means bears against the free end of the ferrule to compress the spring to provide a substantially uniform operating torque from one assembly to another.

  • Patent number: 4980944
Abstract: An adaptor for a windshield wiper blade to allow the wiper superstructure to be mounted to different diameter pin connectors associated with a wiper arm. Typically, wiper arms are provided with a side pin having either of two diameters. The adaptor bushing of the present invention allows a single wiper blade to be used with either pin type. The wiper blade includes laterally aligned apertures and a retainer spring clip to prevent inadvertent removal of the blade. With a larger diameter pin, the pin is simply placed through the aperture to engage the spring. With the smaller diameter pin the adapter bushing is positioned within the apertures to receive the pin. The adaptor has an offset throughbore such that when the pin is positioned within the adaptor, the spring clip will prevent withdrawal of the pin until the spring is released. The adaptor allows a supplier to stock a single style of replacement blade which can be mounted to either pin connector.
