Abstract: A pivot joint for a bicycle frame is described, which includes an inner bearing sleeve concentrically disposed within an outer bearing sleeve. The inner bearing sleeve has an outer bearing surface in rotatably sliding contact with an inner bearing surface of the outer bearing sleeve, such that the inner and outer bearing sleeves are rotatable relative to each other about a central pivot axis to permit relative rotation of the components joined by the pivot joint. Each of the inner and outer bearing surfaces includes a substantially axially extending region and at least one angled bearing region that defines an angled raceway surface thereon. The angled raceway surfaces are disposed at an angle relative to the central pivot axis and meet in bearing engagement with each other to define a slip plane disposed at the same angle.

Abstract: A pin joint assembly for a machine includes a seal assembly having first and second seal rings and first and second gaskets or toric load rings. The first and second seal rings each have a loading surface and a sealing face. The first and second seal rings abut one another such that the sealing faces are in contacting relationship with each other. The first load ring engages a load ring engagement surface of a collar and the loading surface of the first seal ring. The second load ring engages a load ring engagement surface of a bushing and the loading surface of the second seal ring. At least one of the load ring engagement surface of the collar and the loading surface of the first seal ring is adapted to retain the first load ring in proximal relationship to the sealing face of the first seal ring.

Abstract: A seal ring stabilization system disclosed herein includes first and second seal rings, each including a substantially planar surface and a substantially non-planar surface opposite the substantially planar surface. The substantially planar surface of the first seal ring and the substantially planar surface of the second seal ring engage one another. The first seal ring includes a protrusion extending from the substantially planar surface of the first seal ring and away from the substantially non-planar surface of the first seal ring, while the second seal ring defines a recess extending from the substantially planar surface of the first seal ring and toward the substantially non-planar surface of the second seal ring. The recess of the second seal ring receives the protrusion of the first seal ring.

Abstract: An adjustable arm supports a device housing with respect to a base and allows the position of the device housing to be adjusted as desired. The adjustable arm has rigid segments joined by pivot joints, with passages therethrough to allow wires to be strung through the arm segments and joints so as to be shielded by the arm. At least one joint is a dual-pivot joint having two joint elements that rotate with respect to each other about a joint pivot axis, each joint element in turn being pivotably attached to an adjacent arm segment.

Abstract: A mobile platform is provided. The mobile platform includes a interior overhead structure and at least one compartment rotatably coupled to the interior overhead structure. The compartment is rotatable into an opened position and a closed position. The mobile platform further includes a pivot system coupled to the interior overhead structure and the compartment to enable the compartment to rotate into the opened position and the closed position. The pivot system comprises a first fitting that defines a raceway and a second fitting that defines a hub and a guide. The hub of the second fitting is for engagement with the raceway and the guide directs the first fitting into the second fitting to couple the first fitting to the second fitting.

Abstract: A foldable trampoline connector includes two connecting pieces hinged to each other. A working surface of a connecting piece is at an inclination complementary to that of another connecting piece. Each connecting piece has a through hole disposed vertically to and on a same axis of its working surface. Both through holes are pivoted to each other with a fastening bolt. The connector solves the problem of chamfering collision by two folding points of both connectors at both extremes of the folding line since a turning axis of both connectors and that of a mobile frame tube are not on the same straight line when a circular jumping bed of the prior art is folded on a semicircular folding line.

Abstract: A seal assembly and method of forming a seal assembly provides a seal body having reduced strain during use, thereby increasing service life. The seal body may be formed within certain parameters, such as ranges of height-to-thickness and offset-to-height ratios, which have been found to reduce strain. Additionally or alternatively, the seal body may be modified from an initial configuration to a pre-strained configuration by axially displacing an inner section of the seal with respect to an outer section of the seal, which also reduces strain.
