    Abstract: An automatic, roll-top waste container with a spring-activated lid includes a receptacle, a flexible lid, a sleeve, a retraction mechanism, and a locking mechanism. The receptacle has curved corners that prevent a trash bag from tearing while being loaded and unloaded. The flexible lid is slidably engaged over an opening of the receptacle. In the open position, the retraction mechanism retracts the flexible lid into the sleeve for storage and safe-keeping. To close the receptacle, a user must manually pull the flexible lid out of the sleeve and engage the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is operatively coupled onto a front wall of the receptacle. In the engaged position, the locking mechanism prevents the flexible lid from retracting into the sleeve. The user can disengage the locking mechanism to allow the flexible lid to retract back into the sleeve.

Retainers are secured to the respective connector shafts for the purpose of retaining the second plate on the connector shafts while the connector shafts extend through the openings within the walk boards. This interconnecting shaft effectively connects the connectors together and thereby connects the opposed end portions of the walk boards together.

    Abstract: A steering wheel bracket used to permit the pilot of a marine vessel, such as a sailboat, to steer the vessel from a location remote from the steering wheel. The invention permits the operator to move about the vessel for a better view during such activities as tacking or jibing. It also permits the operator to select between steering methods, i.e. the vessel can be steered via the regular method or it can be a tiller handled vessel. The bracket consists of a first larger block and a second smaller block clamped together around the spoke of and against the inside curvature of the steering wheel. This second smaller block is sized to fit within a notch in the first larger block. One end of a tiller extension removably fits within an opening in the larger block and by using such extension, the operator at the other end of the tiller extension is able to steer the vessel from a remote location.

The tube-attached screws are accommodated axially aligned in a sleeve that surrounds at least their heads, leaving their threaded shafts extending out. The node-attached screw slides back and forth but cannot rotate in the sleeve and is secured to the tube-attached screw by a threaded bolt that extends through a bore in the latter. The head of the tube-attached screw rotates in the sleeve and has a threaded axial bore that the head with a matching outside thread of an opposing node-attached screw screws into, whereby the thread has the same handedness as the threaded section on the node-attached screw and the bore is long enough to allow the head of the node-attached screw to screw all the way into the head of the tube-attached screw.

After the stop buttons pass through the first plate the pin straightens and is latched with the stop button and the shoulder on opposite sides of the first plates.

An other end of the first sleeve is threadable in an other end of the second sleeve to form a hollow sleeve assembly of variable length. The elliptical disk has an elliptical projection which fits in an elliptical hole of a thin walled pole when the hollow sleeve assembly is fitted therein. By using an external tool to relatively rotate the first and second hollow sleeves, one can tighten the hollow sleeve assembly to provide an expansive prestress and support for a bolt which passes through the hollow sleeve assembly for attachment of stores or loads.
