  • Patent number: 4834570
Abstract: A spring-locking member is provided for use with a male member such as a two-by-four which is adapted for insertion into a female member such as an end frame member for outdoor furniture and the like. The spring-locking member is of resilient material and has a substantially constant cross-section in one direction. The cross-section includes a central portion and two side portions integral with the central portion. The side portions are upwardly offset with respect to the central portion, and each has a downwardly directed portion at its end remote from the central portion. The configuration is such that, in use, the spring-locking member is bent inwardly at the central portion to lie against the male member.

  • Patent number: 4720222
Abstract: A restraining bar for use on pickup trucks and the like for clamping between the two sidewalls of the truck bed to restrain articles which otherwise would tend to drift around and/or fall over if not adequately retained. The restraining bar is comprised of first and second telescoping members, each having a friction pad at the distal end thereof for being forced against and frictionally retained by respective sidewalls of a pickup truck bed. Connected to the inner end of the smaller member of the telescoping pair is a spring member operable by an operating lever which, when in an upper or spring uncompressed position, is free to slide within the larger of the two telescoping members, though when pushed downward toward a spring compressed position will first engage and lock against interior opposing walls of the larger of the two telescopic members, and thereafter compress the spring, ultimately reaching an over center position to be self retaining.

  • Patent number: 4225257
Abstract: An uninsulated contact array of resilient electrically conducting metal with bridging strips at each end to hold multiple conductors in predetermined spaced relation to each other. The bridging strips permit terminal tips at one end of the conductors to be stabbed into a circuit board simultaneously, for subsequent soldering. The other ends of the conductors, having contact ends, are maintained in spaced apart relation by a second bridging strip, the conductors and contacts permitting threading the contact ends simultaneously into multiple recesses of a display holder socket. The display holder socket is so arranged, that curving the resilient conductors increases the contact pressure of the contacts by bowing them. Resilient mounting arms of the contact holder provide for shock proof mounting of the contact holder in a casing by clamping the resilient arms between the casing and cover of an instrument housing.
