The male and female connectors are configured to facilitate assembly of the connector with a reduced likelihood of damage to threaded portions of each component by the presence of complementary engaging surfaces, such as blunt tip and smooth alignment portions of the male connector. Additionally, the male and female connectors each may have a shoulder portion with a larger dimension than other portions of the connector in order to provide a secure coupling of the components.

  • Patent number: 7341395
Abstract: A combinational bolt which comprises a screw unit and a sleeve unit. The screw unit has a plurality of threads on a surface of a front terminal, the threads make the screw unit connect with a target object, another terminal of the screw unit forms a first concave portion. The sleeve unit, which is set inside the target object, also connects and surrounds the screw unit. A sink-proof portion is set on the surface of one terminal of the sleeve unit, the sink-proof portion makes the sleeve unit clamp onto the target object, and the outer surface of the sleeve unit has a plurality of strengthen circle units and a plurality of cut slots, and a second concave portion forms inside the sleeve unit, the first concave portion and the second concave portion clamp together.

Abstract: Precision aligning fastener for releasably joining two halves of a manufactured article. The precision aligning fastener has a male body that threads into a female body. The threads on the male and female threads, bodies are provided in an interrupted-thread pattern, allowing the male body to be completely inserted into the female body before twisting and engaging the threads. A stop means is provided, to assist in aligning and to prevent overtightening of the fastener. The fastener is particularly well-suited to releasably join long, slender articles that must be precisely aligned to function properly, such as a hunter's longbow, billiard cues, furniture, etc.

  • Patent number: 7037027
Abstract: A connection arrangement accommodates misalignments in three dimensions, and achieves a positive fixed connection between two components. A threaded standoff with a first bolt hole therein is partially screwed into a threaded hole in the first component and protrudes to match the spacing distance between the components. Inner and outer eccentric disks are received and supported in a hole in the second component. The inner disk has an offset center relative to the outer disk, and has a second bolt hole offset from the inner disk's center. Rotating the two disks accommodates radial misalignments to bring the two bolt holes into alignment. A bolt shaft extends through the bolt holes. While a bolt head or nut at one end of the shaft bears against the eccentric disks, a clamping cone at the opposite end of the shaft is tightened to axially clamp the standoff against the second component, and to radially outwardly spread and clamp the standoff against the internal threading of the first hole in the first component.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mounting structure which is arranged at two abutting structural panels (1, 2) so that said structural panels are connected with each other, comprising two pairs of clamping plates, with one of said pairs of clamping plates being fixed to one structural panel (1), and the other pair of clamping plates being fixed to the other structural panel (2). The two pairs of clamping plates abut against each other with one of their clamping plates (3, 4), and the two abutting clamping plates (3, 4) are provided with mutually aligned, undercut longitudinal slots (5) which receive a connecting plate (6) connecting the abutting two clamping plates (3, 4) with each other and being fixed to the two clamping plates (3, 4) by means of fasteners (7) which extend through said connecting plate (6). Thus, a mounting structure is provided whose manufacture is relatively easy and cost-efficient.
