  • Patent number: 10677191
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to a bell housing with an adjustable register plate for providing adjustable engine crankshaft-transmission alignment. The bell housing includes a body adapted for attachment to an engine block. The adjustable register plate includes a register bore for accommodating the transmission. The register plate can be secured to the bell housing by inserting register plate fasteners through register plate fastener holes into the corresponding register plate attachment holes of the bell housing. The alignment of the register plate relative to the bell housing, and thereby alignment of the transmission with the crankshaft, can be adjusted by loosening the fasteners and moving the register plate laterally, about the register plate fasteners, relative to the bell housing, and then tightening the fasteners to locate the register plate in the desired position.

Abstract: A chair control mechanism for a chair assembly having a seat and a back includes an arrangement for mounting the lower end of a back support member, for positioning the back above the seat. The chair control mechanism includes a variable configuration mounting area so as to enable different back support members to be used with the same basic chair control mechanism structure. In one version, the variable configuration mounting area is provided by engaging one of a series of inserts within a transverse rear wall defined by the chair control mechanism. Each insert defines a passage configured to receive the lower seat mounting section of a back mounting member having a different set of dimensions, and the seat mounting section of the back mounting member extends through the passage and is engaged with the chair control mechanism by means of a fixed fastener-type arrangement or by a hand screw received within a slot for providing adjustability in the position of the back relative to the seat.

  • Patent number: 6082515
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a coupling structure of driving force transmitting members, wherein the variety of complex-type driving force transmitting parts to be combined by using a plurality of driving force transmitting members can be increased as many as possible. Respective gear members are provided with concave coupling portions on one sides in the axial line direction and convex coupling portions on the other sides in the axial line direction. The respective convex coupling portions are fitted into the respective concave coupling portions, whereby the gear members are coupled to integrally rotate. Thus, it is possible to selectively combine a plurality of gear members and construct many kinds of complex-type gear members.

  • Patent number: 5992939
Abstract: A head rest sleeve for receiving a head rest support rod having a diameter within a known tolerance range is formed of a resilient material and has a body having an axial bore. Integral with the inside of the body and disposed thereabout are at least two pairs of compressible crush ribs which protrude radially and extend the length of the body. The distance of protrusion of the ribs corresponds to the minimum possible diameter of the support rod. Located between each pair of ribs and integral therewith is a web which protrudes radially a distance corresponding to the maximum possible diameter of the support rod. When the support rod is inserted into the sleeve, the rod frictionally engages the crush ribs uniformly along its length and, when the diameter of the support rod is greater than the minimum possible diameter, compresses the ribs a uniform distance to allow the support rod to be moved in the sleeve.
