  • Patent number: 6082515
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a coupling structure of driving force transmitting members, wherein the variety of complex-type driving force transmitting parts to be combined by using a plurality of driving force transmitting members can be increased as many as possible. Respective gear members are provided with concave coupling portions on one sides in the axial line direction and convex coupling portions on the other sides in the axial line direction. The respective convex coupling portions are fitted into the respective concave coupling portions, whereby the gear members are coupled to integrally rotate. Thus, it is possible to selectively combine a plurality of gear members and construct many kinds of complex-type gear members.

  • Patent number: 5992939
Abstract: A head rest sleeve for receiving a head rest support rod having a diameter within a known tolerance range is formed of a resilient material and has a body having an axial bore. Integral with the inside of the body and disposed thereabout are at least two pairs of compressible crush ribs which protrude radially and extend the length of the body. The distance of protrusion of the ribs corresponds to the minimum possible diameter of the support rod. Located between each pair of ribs and integral therewith is a web which protrudes radially a distance corresponding to the maximum possible diameter of the support rod. When the support rod is inserted into the sleeve, the rod frictionally engages the crush ribs uniformly along its length and, when the diameter of the support rod is greater than the minimum possible diameter, compresses the ribs a uniform distance to allow the support rod to be moved in the sleeve.

Abstract: A cutter blade retaining plate having a fitting hole to be used for attachment onto a drive shaft in its center position, in which, on both sides of the fitting hole, a boss portion is provided to which cutter blades having different diameters may be fitted. The various cutter blades, each having a different diameter fitting hole, can be easily attached to the drive shaft by changing the orientation of the cutter blade retaining plate or by pressably sliding the blade onto the boss portion, thereby compressing a moveable boss portion. The invention thus eliminates the need for use of differing collars with cutter blades having differing diameter fitting holes, thereby also reducing the incidence of loss of the collars.

Abstract: In a pipe anchor system for anchoring a relatively long length of pipe or conduit to a structural support with predetermined spacing therefrom. Short pieces of a bar cut to length from a bar of commercial standard shape and size are used to attach the anchor bases of two-part pipe anchors to the structural support. The anchor bases have bar end locating formations including recesses and protuberances to receive in accurate positions thereon one end of each short piece of a commercial bar. The opposite or distal end of each short piece of a bar will be secured to the structural member. The usual clamping wedges are used to clamp the long length of pipe to the anchor bases.

Abstract: A slide lock system allows one or more connector bodies to be mounted at various locations on a mounting surface. A plurality of parallel, uniformly spaced rails are formed on the mounting surface. The rails define a plurality of parallel, uniformly spaced channels which are open on one end and closed on the opposite end. A pair of parallel, spaced apart rails are formed on each connector body. The connector rail spacing is an integral multiple of the spacing between the channels on the mounting surface such that the connector rails are endwise inserted into the open end of any of the plurality of channels.
