Abstract: Rattling of a shift body in a second direction is suppressed when movement of the shift body toward one side in the second direction is restricted. In a shift lever device, a projecting portion of a hook of a lever projects toward the left from the lever. When disposing the lever on an R position side from an N position, a leading end face of the projecting portion is restricted from pivoting toward the left side by a right face of a rear restricting portion of a left plate, such that a pivot operation of the lever toward the right side is restricted. Flexing of the hook can thereby be suppressed, enabling rattling of the lever in a left-right direction to be suppressed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus (“utility”) for securing an electrical connection formed by a mating structure including prongs of a male assembly and receptacles of a female assembly are provided. The utility includes a clamping mechanism whereby the very forces that would otherwise tend to pull the connection apart serve to actuate the clamping mechanism, thereby securing the mated pair. The apparatus may be integrated into a standard receptacle, or retrofitted to work with existing devices. In one embodiment, the clamping mechanism acts solely on the ground prong of a standard plug assembly, so that it is unnecessary to consider electrical potentials applied to the clamped prong in relation to the design of the clamping mechanism. Further, the withdrawing movement of the prongs of a plug may cause elongate clamping surfaces of the clamping mechanism to frictionally engage opposing surfaces of the clamped prong.

A shaft device and a differential gear with such a securing element for securing an axial stop element to a shaft of the shaft device or differential gear is also provided. An axial stop element with at least one positive-locking element that is lockable with one positive-locking element of such a securing element is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9004804
Abstract: An elastically deformable bridging piece includes an engaging protruding part between two ends of the piece, insertion of a portion of an attaching member in a direction intersecting a longitudinal direction of the bridging piece is permitted by elastically deforming the bridging piece by contacting with the engaging protruding part with the portion, and the engaging protruding part engages an engaging hole formed in the portion at an insertion terminating position by elastically returning the bridging piece. A restricting part restricting elastic deformation of the bridging piece is provided. When inserting the portion, the restricting part inclines the bridging piece to position the engaging protruding part on the obliquely downward side, and when a force in a reverse direction to the inserting direction acts on the portion located at the insertion terminating position, the restricting part restricts inclination of the bridging piece, which is reversely-oriented to the former inclination.

Tabs and slots can have varying widths to create mutual incompatibility with other joint components that are otherwise similarly constructed. An optional stopper on the tab and corresponding notch within the slot can add an additional axis of incompatibility with other joints throughout the assembly. These features prevent incorrect assembly and allow convenient redesigns.

Abstract: A system is described for hooking and unhooking a carrier bag with respect to the tank of a motorcycle. The system comprises a first group of components suitable to be fixed to the carrier bag and a second group of components suitable to be fixed to the tank. The first group of components comprises a flexible ring provided with a plurality of locking teeth elastically projecting inwards of such a flexible ring. The locking teeth are coupled with an annular flange of the second group of components to obtain the hooking of the carrier bag to the tank. On the flexible ring there is a hand-driven mechanism for the radial retraction of the locking teeth to generate a radial displacement of such locking teeth, allowing disengagement between the flexible ring and the annular flange and, hence, obtaining the disengagement of the carrier bag from the tank.

A connector assembly typically comprises a housing, a hoop element, a first cam block, a second cam clock and a rotatable actuator adapted to be engaged by a torquing tool. The housing is secured within the first frame member. Rotation of the actuator causes the threadedly-engaged second cam element to force movement of the first cam element in a direction opposing a spring bias. The hoop element is resultingly pulled toward the housing, along with a cleat or other detent element which is affixed to the second frame member. The housing can be manufactured inexpensively by way of extrusion.
