    Abstract: An apparatus for a pop-up display structure that provides a hub structure that is divided into two sections that are held together by a thumbscrew. The two sections define internal channels in the hub for capturing guide pins attached to the tubes such that the tubes pivot about the guide pins and rotate about the hub through slots in the hub. The thumbscrew provides for removal of tubes from the hub structure without the use of tools and therefore provides for changes on the fly for reconfiguring the structure or for replacing broken tubes. The thumbscrew also provides a mounting structure for the channel bar that attaches to the pop-up structure. The channel bar is capable of folding into three sections and is capable of folding compactly without regard to the sequence of the folds.

    Abstract: It is often necessary to unfold the integral carrying case of a device such as a portable electronic instrument comprising an upper and lower module. However if it is necessary upon unfolding the case to move apart the modules a limited distance while maintaining their relative alignment the common scissor-slider mechanism will not suffice inasmuch as the scissor mechanism does not latch on retraction and rotation. The disclosed invention provides a scissor-slider mechanism that extends without constraint in the usual fashion, but upon retraction and rotation about the slider axis required for folding the scissor-slider mechanism self-latches, keeping the upper and lower modules from separating.

The female member has a body with a linking element associated with the lateral end for receiving the other fixation element, and a cavity with an opening on the medial end for receiving a portion of the male member projection. The locking member adjustably and rotatably secures the male member projection portion in the cavity in order to accommodate different orientations and separation distances between the first and second fixation elements.

A grounding engaging wheel disposed on a distal end of the arm is urged toward the ground surface by a biasing spring interposed between the arm and the plate. As the wheelchair begins to tip, anti-tip or resistive forces are generated initially by the biasing spring. This resisting force continues in a linear fashion until relative movement between the arm and the plate ceases. Thereafter, further resistive forces are provided by the dampener as movement of the plate toward the frame is resisted in a linear fashion by the dampener.

    Abstract: An implement-positioning apparatus used on an implement-towing vehicle such as a tractor includes a draft arm, a lift link, and a mechanism coupling the arm and the link together. The mechanism selectively permits floating arm movement (and therefore floating implement movement) relative to the link. In the improvement, the mechanism includes a clevis-like attachment member fixed on the link and having two arms, each with a slot extending therealong. A pivot-mounted selection member is coupled to the attachment member by a pin through the slots and moves between a first position engaging the attachment member and a second position away from the attachment member. When the selection member is in the second position, the pin is free to move along the slots and thereby permit the draft arm and the implement coupled thereto to "float" and, within limits set by the length of the slots, seek its own elevation under the urging of external forces.

Each grommet further includes a central passageway that which the rod is disposed within and permits pivotal movement of the rod only substantially in a single plane relative to the grommets and permits substantially universal pivotal movement of the rod around the center of the grommets. The end link can also include a like rod having a pair of universal ball joint structures generally at each end thereof. Each structure includes a universal ball which is integrally formed with a spacer, a bushing and a washer. The bushing is rotatable with respect to the washer.

    Abstract: An articulating table connection or arrangement includes an in-fill piece occupying a gap between spaced tables and remaining in abutment with the tables as the tables are relatively aligned at any angle around a center defined by a curved arc segment at an edge of at least one of the table tops. At least one of the tables when viewed as a whole in plan is non-circular and preferably C-shaped or kidney shaped, but has a portion of an edge that defines a circularly curved arc segment along a limited distance. The in-fill piece has a complementary shaped edge abutting the arc segment. The in-fill piece carries brackets which stabilize the in-fill piece and tables in such relative positions that the upper surfaces of the tables and in-fill piece occupy a common plane. The brackets further couple the tables and in-fill piece together for relative movement at least so that the complementary edge of the in-fill piece is pivotable relative to the arc segment of the table.
