With Opening For Access To Connector Or Operator Patents (Class 403/6)
  • Patent number: 4585365
Abstract: A technique of construction is disclosed utilizing a plurality of upright posts bored from the top to define a bore that is coaxial with the post, there being cutaway portions entering into the sides of the post and communicating with the coaxial bore. A plurality of beams each has a tongue at both ends, the tongues fitting within the cutaway portions and being secured within the coaxial bore in the respective post. This securing is done with pins which are driven down into detent bores in the ends of the tongues, and the entire coaxial bore and pin and tongue detent structure is hidden by virtue of an overlying cap which is a press-fit into the coaxial bore, defining a flush surface with the top of the post.

  • Patent number: 4545830
Abstract: Gas pressurized electrical cables, having a portion of an outer sheath removed for repair or splicing, are sealed while under pressure by providing at the exposed cable portion a gas pressure escape vent having a vent opening of area less than that of the cable exposed portion. Sealant tape is wrapped around the exposed cable portion and the vent exterior effectively sealing the entire exposed cable portion with the exception of the vent opening through which the gas escapes while such sealant tape is applied. The vent opening, being smaller than the original exposed cable portion, is readily sealably closed as by suitably plugging such vent opening and covering same with a sealant material.

  • Patent number: 4332495
Abstract: A wooden frame or the like having two frame parts abutting at a joint and having a tensioning-eccentric connector, the two frame parts each having a borehole which extends perpendicular to the joint and each having a preferably round recess at the end of each borehole, a round tensioning eccentric being adapted to be inserted turnably into the recess of one of the frame parts and a tension bolt being adapted to be introduced into each borehole, the clamping end of which bolt engages into the tensioning eccentric and the fastening end thereof is held fast in the recess of the other frame part by a holder. The holder comprises an abutment stop part which is fixed on the fastening end of the tension bolt, the length of which abutment stop part in the circumferential direction of the recess which receives the abutment stop part being greater than the diameter of the corresponding borehole.

  • Patent number: 4259045
Abstract: A gear pump or motor wherein at least two pump or gear units are arranged in coaxial relationship and have their axially inwardly extended driven and driving shafts journalled in a common intermediate casing, the driving shafts being splined together with an internally splined sleeve. The inlet port opened in the intermediate casing is communicated through low-pressure passages with the pump chambers of the respective pump or motor units (and with the assembly chamber or pocket formed to accommodate the opposing ends of the axially inwardly extended driving shafts). The diameter of the inlet port is made larger than the size of the sleeve for interconnecting the driving shafts so that the sleeve may be inserted through the inlet opening into the assembly chamber or pocket and interconnect the driving shafts. Thus, in assembly the interconnection between the driving shafts may be much facilitated.

  • Patent number: 4102124
Abstract: A pin or bolt slidingly supportable in rings at opposite ends, or throughout its body in a sleeve, such as through the eyes of a clevis, is usefully locked against axial displacement by a radially sliding spring-biased detent which fits into a groove of a supporting ring or sleeve, securing it against axial displacement. The supporting ring has a slot extending inward from a support surface and sized to receive a key, such as a disc or a coin, which may be inserted in the slot to engage and depress the detent against its biasing spring, sufficient to displace it from the groove of the ring and thus unlocking and allowing the pin to be displaced in its support by sliding therefrom axially. In a modified form, where the supporting rings of a clevis are dimensioned so small that the radially cut slot would tend to weaken them, the ends of the pin may be secured by extra annular rings or washers mounted adjacent to the main supporting rings of the clevis.
