  • Patent number: 12221079
Abstract: A leveling block set with a handle, leveling blocks, and a receiver for leveling a large vehicle like a camper or trailer. Each leveling block has a top surface, sidewall, bottom surface, and a void defined by the sidewall and bottom surface. An opening in the top surface creates a channel that accepts and retains a portion of the receiver and the handle. The receiver has a base and shank with a passageway forming a second engagement member. The handle has a grip and shaft with a first engagement member. The shaft can be inserted through the channel to mechanically engage with the second engagement member of the receiver. The receiver is secured in the channel by two shoulders formed in the channel. If the receiver is lost or damaged, a replacement can be inserted without replacing the leveling blocks.

  • Patent number: 12146279
Abstract: A portable vehicle barrier is transportable to a desired location, unfolded from a compact transport configuration and deployed to provide an effective vehicle barrier that can be used temporarily and then refolded into the compact transport configuration and transported to a remote location for utilization or storage. The vehicle barrier is formed with a central base having front and rear sections that are pivotally hinged to the central base. A barrier member can be selectively activated to rise into an active position and restrain the passage of vehicles. An impact into the barrier member causes the central base to tip in order to drive pointed teeth into the tires of the vehicle and into the underlying road surface and stop the impacting vehicle. The front and rear sections have vertical bars that move into a nesting horizontal position when the front and rear sections are pivoted into the transport position.

  • Patent number: 12123685
Abstract: A ballistic garage door assembly and a kit for converting a standard garage door uses sheets of ballistic material secured to the exterior shell of the standard garage door panels along with inserts at the joints between adjacent garage door panels. Joint inserts applied to the horizontal ends of the garage door panels provide bullet resistant characteristics at the joints. Aluminum sheets with multiple plies of ballistic material between the aluminum sheets are applied to the entire garage door shell. Insulated foam is place on the innermost aluminum sheet to provide additional ballistic performance for the converted garage door. Increased levels of ballistic protection will utilize thicker aluminum panels and an additional external ballistic bumper to increase ballistic performance of the joints between the garage door panels. The outward aesthetic appearance of the garage door does not change appreciably, although a door lift with greater horsepower may be required.

Abstract: A flap for an asphalt hopper of an asphalt paver includes a sheet of a first material arranged to, in a non-deformed configuration, extend upwards from a base of the asphalt hopper and at least partially enclose one end of the asphalt hopper. The flap further includes a support member of a memory metal material coupled to the sheet. The support member has a deformed configuration and a non-deformed configuration. The support member experiences shape memory effect above a transition temperature that causes the support member in the deformed configuration to transition to the non-deformed configuration in response to heating at or above a transition temperature and also urges the sheet to return to the non-deformed configuration from a deformed configuration.

  • Patent number: 11149393
Abstract: A system for impeding shore erosion includes a sea-facing barrier wall penetrated by large holes that allow water with entrained sand to enter the apparatus. Smaller holes provided in a rear wall allow the water to drain into an underlying reservoir after the entrained sand has settled. An extension can be abutted to a top of the barrier wall to enhance sand collection during a storm. Water that flows over the barrier wall is caused to flow over a top of the extension, whereby water with entrained sand falls through openings in the extension top. Sand collected by the extension remains on the shore when the extension is removed. The apparatus can include plywood, metal, or plastic. Embodiments can be disassembled and/or folded for transport and storage. Internal reinforcing partition walls can extend between the barrier and rear walls. The apparatus can be further anchored by stakes.

  • Patent number: 11028583
Abstract: The present invention is transportable economically in a flat state, and easy to attach and detach, and can provide a curved surface simply while maintaining decoration and strength without craftsmanship and absorb sound. Slits are provided on a rectangular board panel comprising two or more layers of a hard material and a soft material. Two or more layers comprising a hard material and a soft material are laminated on a rectangular board panel, and slits having a length of ½ to ¾ of the vertical side are provided thereto. The use of slits makes formation of curved surfaces easy. Since there is no need to reinforce the outside to maintain the strength thereof, the board panel can be removed easily. Even if an external pressure is applied to the board panel, the flexibility of the hard material divided by the slits and the elastic characteristic of the soft material cause the pressure to be dispersed and absorbed, and sound to be absorbed.
