Adjustable Patents (Class 406/160)
  • Patent number: 10479255
Abstract: A delivery unit for providing aggregate to a worksite, such as a wellsite location. The unit may include a mobile chassis for accommodating a plurality of modular containers which in turn house the aggregate. As such, a weight measurement device may be located between each container and the chassis so as to monitor aggregate levels within each container over time. The units may be particularly well suited for monitoring and controlling aggregate delivery during a fracturing operation at an oilfield. The modular containers may be of an interchangeable nature. Furthermore, a preferably wireless control device may be provided for monitoring and directing aggregate delivery from a relatively remote location.

Abstract: A feed device for a linear airflow separator that eliminates the use of a winnower in the separation of tobacco products. The feed device includes an adjustable angle baffle deflector in combination with an air knife. The air-fed adjustable angle baffle deflector feeds with non-product contact and as a result does not lead to mechanical degradation of the treated material. The air knife is fed with air from a high pressure blower having a variable frequency drive. The feed device treats the product with air only, thereby eliminating mechanical contact with the product and resulting in higher separation yields and higher operating efficiency than conventional recirculating pneumatic separators.

  • Patent number: 7275701
Abstract: Adjustable discharge apparatus include a first conduit apparatus with a first conduit section extending along an arcuate path about a pivot axis. A second conduit apparatus is pivotally mounted about the pivot axis in a telescoping relationship with the first conduit apparatus. Adjustable discharge apparatus kits are also provided with a first conduit apparatus, a second conduit apparatus and a third conduit apparatus. The second and third conduit apparatus of the kit are for selective mounting to the first conduit apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20020168253
Abstract: A silo filling apparatus includes a fill tube for discharging a stream of silage along a flow path into a silo, a silage spreader adapted to undergo movement between operating and non-operating positions for causing and ceasing distribution of silage in the silo, and a flow diverter mechanism having a base and swivel vane rotatably mounted to the base. The base is adapted to undergo movement between retracted and extended positions in which correspondingly the base is displaced from and disposed along the flow path of the silage stream. The swivel vane is disposed in the flow path of the silage stream, when the base is disposed in the extended position, and can undergo rotational movement in opposite directions for selectively diverting silage to one side or the other side of the flow path to level off a top of a silage column.

  • Patent number: 5177888
Abstract: A discharge chute assembly (30) includes a chute (32) and a pivotal deflector (34), the overlapping end portions of which define a partial spherical or ball joint (40) which maintains a tight seal against backflow and leakage over the entire range of rotation and deflection of the assembly. The assembly (30) is preferably secured to a rotatable base (54) by means of lower pivots (70) and a releasable fastener (72) for collapsibility.

  • Patent number: 4968188
Abstract: Apparatus and method for supplying fiber in a chute feed (10) are disclosed including a pivotal air control deflection vane (B) pivoted at an entrance (46) of a reserve section (12). The inclination of the vane (B) may be adjusted, depending on airflow conditions and fiber type, to redirect the incoming horizontal flow (58) of fiber-laden air and deposit the fibers (F) in a column having a level surface (80). The transport air (72) exits the chute (32) of the reserve section through a grille (70). The level column of fibers provides feeding of a uniform weight of fibers across the entire width (W) of the chute for uniform feeding and opening the feed roll (34) and opening roll (39).

  • Patent number: 4540421
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a unit for discharging material, such as lengths of paper strip from an air stream. As shown in FIG. 1, a flow of air with suspended waste material enters, as illustrated by the arrow 1, along a duct 2. The flow is into an entry section 4 of a perforated duct 5 located within an outer casing 6 which forms an air duct. At the downstream end, the duct 5 leads into a bend section 7 which is perforated on the outside of the bend and at the sides. The flow of air or gas continues out of the open end 8 of the casing 6 as indicated by the arrow 9, while the suspended solid material is deflected by the bend section into a discharge duct 11, down which the solid material falls by gravity. The duct 11 is shown as including two pairs of optional isolating flap valves 12 so as to provide an air lock arrangement so that the air flow in the duct 11 is substantially zero.

  • Patent number: 4284372
Abstract: A continuous handling and dispensing system for pneumatically conveyable, particulate packaging materials, such as foamed plastic dunnage, involves continuous, air-entrained circulation of the material in an essentially closed loop header installation. The header is most advantageously connected to a plurality of dispensing hoppers. Baffles are employed to deflect gas and material into the hoppers and prevent plugging of the header.
