  • Patent number: 10464761
Abstract: An ejection hood apparatus includes a transfer conduit and a hood. The transfer conduit includes a downwardly concave control shell. An inlet end portion of the transfer conduit receives an upwardly directed transfer air stream including ejected material with at least a partially upward trajectory. The hood defines an ejection chamber including a lower chamber portion and an upper chamber portion. The lower chamber portion receives the transfer air stream from an outlet end portion of the transfer conduit with at least a partially downward trajectory. The hood includes at least one air outlet passage communicated with the upper chamber portion for exhausting at least a portion of the transfer air stream.

  • Publication number: 20020051683
Abstract: An adjustable base unit includes a pair of upper and lower frameworks, a connection sleeve attached to the lower framework and having opposite end portions for extending into and providing flow communication through the unit and between an upper fill tube and a lower blower pipe of a silo filling apparatus, and elements for adjustably interconnecting and spacing apart the upper and lower frameworks with respect to one another. When the unit is interposed between the fill tube and blower pipe and the upper and lower frameworks are respectively detachably attached to the fill tube, connection sleeve and blower pipe, the upper framework can be angularly tilted by adjusting selected ones of the interconnecting elements in any one of several different orientations relative to the lower framework so as to correspondingly angularly adjust the mounting disposition of the fill tube on the blower pipe and thereby the position of the fill tube within the silo.

  • Patent number: 5042237
Abstract: A cotton harvester includes air diverting structure for selectively directing air from the air duct structure over the top of the cotton harvester basket to blow away accumulated trash. The upper portion of the air duct is moveable from a normal operating position wherein cotton is directed into the basket, to a cleaning position wherein high velocity air from the duct is directed over the surface of the basket by an air deflector located at the upper forward end of the basket. When no cotton is being picked, such as during turns at the end of the field, the duct is moved from the operating position to the cleaning position to clear the trash from the basket surfaces. In another embodiment of the invention, a barrier in the form of either a brush or a pivoting element located on the dump side of the basket catches debris that would otherwise fall into the cotton receiving receptacle.

  • Patent number: 4256419
Abstract: In a silage distributor assembly of the type in which a spreader plate, in the path of silage issuing from the discharge end of a fill tube, has hinged to its outer, free margin a curved deflector plate, there is disclosed a stop member which prevents the kinetic energy of the material moving out of the fill tube from lifting the curved plate to a raised position yet permits the plate to be freely moved to its raised position by means of a cable extending to the base of the silo.
