  • Patent number: 11060362
Abstract: A self-adjusting spinner is provided that is capable of accommodating various pipe sizes without requiring the need for an operator to climb up the support mechanism and manually change the position of the drive assembly. The self-adjusting spinner includes a case having two pivotally connected members: a stationary case member and a moving case member. Upper and lower plates having gear racks are mounted on the stationary case member for moving a drive assembly horizontally across the case. The drive assembly includes a motor that drives gear sprocket through a drive shaft. The drive sprocket then drives a chain that rotates a drill pipe in an operative position relative to the case. The spinner also includes an adjusting assembly mounted on the case that moves the drive assembly along the gear rack upon the actuation of an adjustment sequence. When the adjustment sequence is initiated, the effective length of the chain is adjusted to accommodate drill pipes of varying diameters.

The pivotable drive wheels, in conjunction with the control panel and control system, are used to position the automated drill apparatus along a slab to be drilled, and further activate one or more gang drills for drilling a slab.

  • Patent number: 7632048
Abstract: A reaming machine includes a machine body; a retractable fixture installed above the machine body and used to press against a workpiece and fix the workpiece; and a vertical wall disposed inside the machine body. Two slide rods are installed to the vertical wall. A slide seat is slidably coupled to the two slide rods. A driving source is fixed to the slide seat. A piston rod is installed to the bottom of the slide seat. A hydraulic cylinder enables the piston rod to move telescopically. The piston rod further enables the driving source to move up and down. A tool seat is installed to the driving source. A reamer is installed at the top of the tool seat and can ream a hole on the workpiece. As the reamed hole faces downward, the wooden dust and debris generated in reaming will fall into the interior of the machine body.

  • Patent number: 7625162
Abstract: The invention relates to a machining apparatus (1) having a frame (2) for the machining of a workpiece (3) that has a tool holder (4) that is mounted such that it can be shifted in a straight line in three axial directions (x, y, z) relative to a workpiece support (5) that is mounted beneath the tool holder (4), the workpiece support (5) being designed such that it can swivel the workpiece (3) about at least one axis (A, B). For improving the applicability of the machining apparatus, this machining apparatus according to the invention is characterized by a workpiece-holding table (6) that is designed such that it bridges the workpiece support (5) and can thus be firmly attached to the frame (2).

  • Patent number: 7534078
Abstract: The frame of a machine tool forms a closed force loop design that surrounds a workzone containing the spindle head. The X and Y-axis drive motors are mounted on stationary elements of the machine. The Y-axis column is fixed, and supports a Z-axis ram. The mounting and positioning of the Z-axis ram minimizes the change in droop and the effects of acceleration forces on the Z-axis structure. The X, Y, and Z-axis drive motors are all mounted outside of the workzone to shield them from contamination and debris generating during the machining process, and for ease of maintenance.
