Abstract: A printer cartridge pin exposure and removal apparatus for the removal of embedded pins within a printer cartridge. The printer cartridge is positioned within a cartridge mount and securely held in a fixed position through a clamping mechanism. A first pin extracting mechanism and a second pin extracting mechanism are positioned about opposite ends of the printer cartridge. A first drill and a second drill are supported by and aligned with the printer cartridge through a first drill aligner and a second drill aligner respectively. The first drill aligner moves the first drill towards the printer cartridge, while the first drill drives a first drill bit in order to penetrate the printer cartridge. Similarly, the second drill aligner moves the second drill towards the printer cartridge, while the second drill drives a second drill bit in order to penetrate the opposite side of the printer cartridge.

Abstract: In the pocket hole apparatus of the present invention, a table reciprocates linearly relative to a base. An anvil is fixed relative to the base and holds the workpiece on a sloped top surface at the desired angle for the pocket hole. A drill spindle with a drill bit is fixed relative to the table. After the workpiece is mounted to the anvil, the table is moved to drill the pocket hole. Optionally, a second spindle on the opposite side of the anvil predrills the pocket hole when the table is first moved to a predrill position. The spindle is enabled or disabled by latching mechanism. The spindle is mounted to a rail that is slidably mounted to the table so that the rail can slide perpendicularly thereby adjusting the spacing between pocket holes.

The drill bit is of the twist type and has at least two longitudinal flutes joined by a web and separated by an equal number of longitudinal lands. The deburring bit has a number of radially extending cutting elements which project radially outwardly from adjacent the bottom of each flute to substantially beyond the diameter of the hole. At the bottom of the flutes, the radially extending cutting elements are spaced to pass the web of the drill bit axially therebetween and to engage the flutes when the drill bit is rotated.

  • Patent number: 4108565
Abstract: A potato processing apparatus which comprises a rotatable potato receiving means having a number of receptacles into which potatoes to be processed are rotated. At least one potato processing station is provided adjacent the receiving means and has potato compressing, cutting and removing means. Rotation of the receiving means is synchronized with operation of the processing station or stations such that with a potato rotated on a receptacle the compressing means operate to firmly lodge said potato within the receptacle following which the cutting means are engaged with the potato so as to cut it into a substantially spherical shape. The removing means then operate to remove the substantially spherical shaped potato from the receptacle. There is also provided potato handling apparatus which cooperates with the processing station or stations to lodge potatoes in successive receptacles as they enter the respective processing station.
