Adapted To "form" Recession In Work Patents (Class 408/85)
  • Patent number: 10335865
Abstract: A method for processing a drilling location in a confined area of a workpiece along a drilling axis A using an end effector is disclosed. The method comprises positioning the end effector relative to the drilling location of the workpiece, clamping the workpiece between a clamp of the end effector and a pressure foot of the end effector, wherein the pressure foot supports the clamp movable relative to the pressure foot, and drilling the workpiece with a flat angle drill of the end effector.

  • Publication number: 20100303578
Abstract: A drop-in anchor system includes a drop-in anchor having a tubular sleeve with a first end and an expandable second end. The sleeve tapers in inner diameter from the first end to the second end at a sleeve taper angle. The drop-in anchor includes a plug insertable in the sleeve such that when the plug is driven into an installed position in the sleeve the second end expands. The plug tapers at a plug taper angle from a head end to a tip end and a difference between the sleeve taper angle and the plug taper angle is about one degree or more. The system includes an installation tool configured to form a hole in a workpiece into which the drop-in anchor is insertable and to drive the plug into the installed position in the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5694685
Abstract: An apparatus and method for roughening or otherwise changing the gasket face of a bolt-like header plug. This apparatus utilizes a cutting or etching tool that cuts into the originally flat gasket face. A threaded shank formed by a lathe or other screw cutting machine extends from the face and is not useable for modifying the face. Roughening or otherwise modifying of the gasket face is in the form of grooves cut into the face so as to increase the sealing effect of the header plug when in use.

  • Patent number: 5078553
Abstract: An apparatus for sampling and collecting wood samples for analysis purposes which includes a boring bit surrounded by a chamber into which the boring bit draws samples and from which the samples are passed to a collection container. The boring bit is housed in a pair of slidably connected housing members which determine the depth that the boring bit enters a wood sample. Collected samples are analyzed for microbial contaminates.

  • Patent number: 4462726
Abstract: A support frame having a face which may be positioned against a workpiece. A cutting arm is mounted for rotation relative to the axis of the frame in such a manner as to support a cutting tool which may be used to form a groove in a workpiece, such as a cylinder head. The cutting arm is supported in a rotating unit such that the depth of the tool and the radius of the groove may be precisely controlled. A crank is attached to the turning unit for positive rotation of the cutting tool. A plurality of locating, headed pins are mounted in the frame so that the heads are biased to positions beyond the workpiece-contact face of the frame. In the exemplary use of the tool to form a groove in a cylinder head, the pins may be precisely positioned so as to cooperate with stud bolt holes in the cylinder head in order to precisely locate the axis of the turning unit relative to the cylinder head.
