Abstract: A copy milling device for the production of in particular dental workpieces, comprising a carrier plate for a model body and a shaping blank, an arm which is arranged pivotably about a horizontal axis extending substantially normal to its longitudinal direction and which has a motor-driven machining tool for cutting shaping of a workpiece from the shaping blank and a tracing device for tracing the model portion, wherein the machining tool and the tracing device are mechanically and synchronously movably connected, wherein the copy milling device comprises a suspension device for the arm.
Abstract: A cutter holder assembly for holding a cutting tool supported at a tool carriage moving in at least an X-Y plane and provided with a cutter for engraving an item to be engraved includes a mounting base capable of being fitted to the tool carriage, a holder base supported at the mounting base in such a manner as to be freely moveable along a Z-axis provided in direction of a prescribed straight line, and a cutting tool holder having a cutting tool support supporting the cutting tool and being fixed to the holder base. Rotation of the cutting tool holder about the Z-axis with respect to the mounting base is restrained and an angle of inclination ? constituted by an angle formed when a longitudinal axis of the cutter and the Z-axis intersect can be held at a prescribed angle. It is therefore possible to provide a cutter holder assembly for an engraver capable of implementing engraving technology capable of a variety of types of engraving of a wide variation without limitation at a part to be engraved.
Abstract: An apparatus can be used for engraving images on a passport, credit card, identification card, or the like, and has an adaptor for use in the apparatus. The apparatus includes a personal computer, a controller, a vibration-preventing unit, an X axis pulse motor driver, a Y axis pulse motor driver, an X axis pulse motor, a tilt motor driver, a Z axis head motor having a minute ? Y axis driver, a stylus and a vacuum pump. Photographs of faces, addresses, names, autographs, the images for engraving information identifying one's identity, the images from a digital camera, scanner or other information taken from a computer through a network can be automatically and correctly engraved on identification cards such as passports, drivers' licenses, employee certificates or credit cards.
Abstract: A three-dimensional mirror-image duplicating carver for producing a three-dimensional mirror-image of a three-dimensional object. First and second platforms are rotatably connected to a frame about spaced apart parallel first and second axes, respectively, and also parallel to the base. The platforms rotate equal and in opposite directions only to effect repositioning. A three-dimensional object to be duplicated in mirror image is attached to and positioned centrally on the first platform while a carvable workpiece is attached to and positioned centrally on the second platform. A support member includes a stylus and a carving tool having a carving tip spaced from the stylus a distance equal to the distance between the first and second axes and lying in a plane perpendicular to said base.
Abstract: The invention makes it possible to produce from a blank an article whose contour is altered, preferably linearly enlarged, with great precision in relation to a corresponding contour of a used model (1c). A copying machine is used in the production. The machine comprises, on the one hand, a first pair of units (1, 2) which are arranged so as to be rotatable. The model (1c) is arranged on the first unit (1) and the blank is arranged on the second unit (2). The machine also comprises a pair of second units (24, 25) in which one supports a detecting member (24a) which is brought into cooperation with the model, and the second unit supports a machining or actuating member which is brought into cooperation with and acts on the blank. The said pairs of units are displaced from and towards each other during production.
Abstract: A pantograph machine is provided for producing either by enlargement or reduction copies from a master model. A tracing head and cutting head move together but relatively. The cutting head moves in a rotary manner and the translation of the relative motion between the cutting head and the tracing head is variable to accommodate different contours with a minimum of damage and faithfulness of reproduction.
