  • Patent number: 10663945
Abstract: A numerical control device includes: a tool-side displacement measurement unit; a workpiece-side displacement measurement unit; a drive signal measurement unit; a relative displacement calculation unit between the tool and the workpiece; a relative displacement prediction unit calculating a relative displacement predicted value from the drive signal, from a prediction model representing a relationship between the drive signal and the relative displacement; a model parameter operation unit generating prediction model parameters constituting the prediction model, from the drive signal, the relative displacement, and the predicted value; and a command value correction unit outputting a post-correction position command obtained by correcting a position command to the drive unit using the prediction model parameters. The model parameter operation unit changes the prediction model parameters to reduce a difference between the relative displacement and the predicted value.

  • Patent number: 5193282
Abstract: A rotating body tracing control apparatus which performs a tracing while rotating a model and a workpiece. A plurality of point coordinates (P1 or P10) are set on the outer peripheral surface of the model (6), which points depend on a position of the central axis of the rotation and the angle of the rotating axis of the rotation, and a tracing is executed by using a line connecting the individual points (P1 to P5, P6 to P10) as a potential line. Therefore, even when tracing a model, such as a groove of a cylindrical cam having a shape which varies along the central axis of a rotating body, only the groove region can be set around the potential line, and thus the tracing time can be shortened and the groove alone can be treated with a high accuracy.

  • Patent number: 5003484
Abstract: A duplicating arrangement is provided for duplicating a workpiece. Data of the workpiece are obtained by scanning of a model, the data are then digitized and stored. The data which is obtained are transformed into NC sets. A relative tool correction consideration is performed in determining the control signals for the drives of the NC machine. The relative tool correction accounts for the generally variable dimensions of the scanning ball used in the scanning of the model and of the radius of the milling tool in the production of the workpiece. A correction movement is superposed on the relative movement between the milling tool and the workpiece if a collision consideration determines that contour surface parts are within the projection surface of the milling tool.

  • Patent number: 4746251
Abstract: In a profiling method constructed so that NC working is performed on the basis of profile locus data obtained by profiling a shape of a model by a profiling machine, a digitized method of the profile locus is characterized in that position data of the model surface, obtained by adding a position of the profiling machine and a displacement signal from a tracer head at each sampling time, are rounded through a low-pass filter upon a profiling operation, and a time constant of the filter is automatically changed in response to the rate of change of the shape of the model. According to this method, fluctuation of the profiling machine, which can not be corrected by the filter heretofore and is an error as it is, is corrected, and a stylus displacement signal, delayed as compared with a response of a profiling machine position signal upon high speed profiling operation, is greatly improved so that high speed profiling operation can be attained.

  • Patent number: 4596091
Abstract: In a method for bevelling an ophthalmic lens, the lens is rotated about its own axis and is also displaced parallel to its axis as a function of its angle of rotation. Simultaneously, the edge of the lens is kept in contact with a grinding wheel. Thus the point of contact of the lens with the grinding wheel is constrained to follow a specific path. The specific path to be followed by the point of contact is an intermediate path selected between two paths resulting from a comparison between a collection of predetermined paths and two reference paths. The reference paths are each obtained from a plotting operation carried out prior to the bevelling operation on the ophthalmic lens using feelers. This method is used in grinding machines such that trimming and bevelling of ophthalmic lenses can be automatically performed.

Abstract: A tracer mechanism having a stylus to scan the surface of a pattern or a template and to cause a congruent relative movement of a cutter and a workpiece, whereby to reproduce the contour of the pattern or template in the workpiece.
