Publication number: 20150110572Abstract: The present invention provides an end assembly for use with cargo decking beams. The end assembly comprises a body that is slidably disposed within the end of a decking beam. A foot section is pivotally coupled to the body and includes obliquely angled guide edges formed from outer plates of the foot. The guide edges are slidably captured within similarly angled guide channels in a mounting track. A pivoting locking plate sandwiched between said outer plates slides into and out of openings (either A or E slots) in the mounting track to secure the beam end assembly in place.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2014Publication date: April 23, 2015Applicant: B2B Casuals, Inc.Inventor: Jerrell P. Patent number: 8757944Abstract: An adjustable decking system for use in supporting freight is provided. The system includes a pair of tracks configured to be vertically mounted upon opposite walls of a freight container, configured with a plurality of evenly spaced recesses disposed along the length thereof. A bracket is slidably mounted upon the pair of tracks and a lock is pivotably mounted to the bracket and an end of the channel unit. The lock includes first, second, and third fingers extending therefrom which are normally received within three of the plurality of spaced recesses disposed along the track. The lock is being pivotably mounted to the bracket such that the first, second, and third fingers may be withdrawn from the three of the plurality of spaced recesses to allow the position of the channel unit to be vertically adjusted along the one of the pair of tracks.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2012Date of Patent: June 24, 2014Assignee: Ancra International, LLCInventor: James N. Patent number: 8172494Abstract: A beam assembly is formed from a hollow beam member which has a pair of slidable channel units installed therein and extend from the opposite ends thereof. The ends of the channel units have guide shoes forming latching assemblies pivotally supported thereon, each guide shoe having a spring loaded lock key mounted pivotally mounted thereon. A pair of tracks are spaced from each other in opposing relationship by a distance equal to the longitudinal extent of the beam member. The tracks have a plurality of aligned apertures and C-shaped runners running along their longitudinal extent. The lock keys of the beam member each has a pair of latching fingers extending therefrom which fit into a pair of adjacent track apertures. The latching fingers may be locked in place in the opposing track apertures by the spring action of their associated springs and may be withdrawn from the apertures by way of a hook shaped tab attached thereon.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2010Date of Patent: May 8, 2012Assignee: Ancra International, LLCInventor: Howard T. Patent number: 6895867Abstract: A beam for supporting a removable second deck for carrying cargo in a vehicle such as a truck trailer is supported between a pair of opposing tracks on opposite sides of the vehicle. The track has slots formed therein to which the beam is attached. The beam has an end foot on each end. Each foot has a keeper pivotally mounted thereon, the keeper being used to removably attach the foot to the slot. The foot has a notch formed in its bottom surface which engages the bottom edge of the slot. The keeper is spring urged against the foot portion to bring the top portions of the keeper and foot into abutment against each other so that the top of the keeper is in abutment against the top edge of the slot, thereby retaining the foot and keeper in the slot. The foot portion and keeper can be withdrawn from the slot by manually moving the keeper away from the foot against the spring tension.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2003Date of Patent: May 24, 2005Assignee: Ancra International, LLCInventor: Ward C. Patent number: 5941667Abstract: A rectangular cargo retaining beam and anchoring track system has anchoring tracks with horizontally and vertically oriented slots on opposed cargo receptacle walls and beams having telescopically adjustable length and ends with hooks for engaging opposed slots. In the engaged position, at least one of the hooks is latched in place by a pivotal latching member which fills the length of the slot to prevent release of the hook unless the latching member is pivoted to disengage the slot. Protected, positive access for manual actuation and release of the latching member is provided at the long face of the rectangular beam so that the beam can be installed and released with the long axis either horizontal or vertical at the discretion of the user, without risk of the release mechanism being blocked by shifting cargo and, with the anchoring tracks being installed either vertically or horizontally.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 1997Date of Patent: August 24, 1999Inventor: Charles H. Patent number: 4494896Abstract: A garment hanger bar for the trailer transportation of garments includes a tubular member having swing bars comprising rings rotatably mounted on the tubular member and an elongate rod joining the rings and spaced from the tubular member for the locking of a plurality of garment hangers thereon to prevent their removal during transportation. The tubular member has mounting elements which project into and are secured in vertical slots with a release bolt extending into the slot at one end. Upon retraction of the release bolt, the mounting member at that end may be removed from the slot, and the hanger bar thereby released from its mounting. In another embodiment, a heavy duty support bar of rectangular cross section is provided for supporting pallets. Pairs of mounting elements are provided at each end of the support bar.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 1983Date of Patent: January 22, 1985Assignee: Peel Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd.Inventor: Dioniso DiFranco
