Utilizing A Resilient Characteristic Of The Member, Or Of A Discrete Element Patents (Class 411/193)
  • Patent number: 11525156
Abstract: This invention provides methods and systems for measuring the concentration of multiple nucleic acid sequences in a sample. The nucleic acid sequences in the sample are simultaneously amplified, for example, using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in the presence of an array of nucleic acid probes. The amount of amplicon corresponding to the multiple nucleic acid sequences can be measured in real-time during or after each cycle using a real-time microarray. The measured amount of amplicon produced can be used to determine the original amount of the nucleic acid sequences in the sample. Also provided herein are biosensor arrays, systems and methods for affinity based assays that are able to simultaneously obtain high quality measurements of the binding characteristics of multiple analytes, and that are able to determine the amounts of those analytes in solution. The invention also provides a fully integrated bioarray for detecting real-time characteristics of affinity based assays.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to base sequence determination. A base sequence determination system includes a fluid device and an optical device, a reaction device includes a first component and a second component, and a repeated executable unit is defined as: a second biochemical reaction—a first biochemical reaction—photographing. A method includes, after initiation steps, using the fluid device to perform the second biochemical reaction and the first biochemical reaction of the sample on the first component, while using the optical device to photograph the sample on the second component. The initial steps include: using the fluid device to perform the first biochemical reaction of the sample on the first component, using the optical device to photograph the sample on the first component after the first biochemical reaction, and using the fluid device to perform the first biochemical reaction of the sample on the second component.

  • Patent number: 5207543
Abstract: A nut and a screw bolt form a screw connector, wherein the nut is secured to the bolt by a configured spring locking member. The locking member engages with one end the screw bolt and with the other end the nut, whereby the locking member has such a configuration that one end has a projection to engage a cotter pin hole in the bolt, while the other end engages directly or indirectly the nut. The two locking member ends are interconnected by a spring section which has such a configuration that a nut tightening torque moment is exerted on the nut when the locking member is in place. Further, the locking member is so configured that it exerts an axial compression force when its ends engage the bolt and the nut. This construction minimizes any reduction in the force exerted by the screw connector on the interconnected structural components.

  • Patent number: 4475633
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a disc brake including a movable assembly. The brake includes a movable assembly (10) mounted to slide by two small columns (12, 14) on a fixed support (16). The small columns include a cylindrical sleeve and a screw. A locking element (66) is interposed between the sleeves and the heads (62) of the corresponding screws. The locking element has two forks (70) each engaging in a groove formed in each of the sleeves and also a resilient portion (74) which locks the locking element (66) onto said sleeves by interference with a portion of said sleeves located between said groove and the corresponding end of the sleeve, so as to make the locking element (66) completely secure and prevent rotation of the sleeves when the screws are screwed in. The brake may be utilized for the braking of motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4286807
Abstract: A screw coupling safety mechanism to prevent unintentional loosening of the sleeve nuts is disclosed. The safety mechanism is formed from a first toothed disc and a second toothed disk each preferably with the same diameter. Safety catches are arranged on the inner circumference of the first toothed disk for locking the first disk in position with respect to one of the sleeve nuts. Safety catches are also arranged on the inner circumference of the second toothed disk for locking the disk in position with respect to the other sleeve nuts. Retaining springs are disposed on the inner circumference of the second disk for maintaining separation between the two disks. One of the toothed disks preferably features an even number of teeth and the other toothed disk preferably features an odd number of teeth. One tooth on one disk is then bent into a space between two teeth on the other disk, after engaging the safety catches, to prevent rotation of the nuts.
