With A Discrete, Resilient Element Patents (Class 411/203)
  • Patent number: 11028871
Abstract: A plastic nut for multiple detachable fastening onto a stud with a thread protruding from a workpiece includes a base body with an inner surface partially defining a cylindrical recess penetrating the base body. A support surface is attached to the base body at an axial end of the plastic nut. A clamping device is attached to the plastic nut and configured to provide a clamping force between the plastic nut and the stud when the stud is installed in the cylindrical recess.

  • Patent number: 5395192
Abstract: Locking nut assembly for a bearing hub of a four wheel drive vehicle. The hub is externally threaded hub and has a longitudinally extending slot, and a nut is threadedly mounted on the hub. A retainer fits over the nut and has a multi-sided peripheral flange which surrounds the nut and a tang which extends into the slot in the hub to prevent rotation of the nut relative to the hub. A retaining ring mounted peripherally of the retainer extends through notches in the corner portions of the peripheral flange and the nut to hold the retainer on the nut.

  • Patent number: 5141374
Abstract: A lock nut device consists of a lock nut (22) and a lock spring (31). The spring is bent into an U-shape and extends in a axial plane over the nut. It has spring legs (32) lying in grooves (25) in the nut and has end portions formed for engagement with the profile portion (16) on a non-rotatable element (4). In the engagement position, the legs are at such a distance from the nut surface that, with the aid of a socket forced over the nut, they can be pressed towards the nut surface, thus moving the end portion from the engagement position.

  • Patent number: 4286807
Abstract: A screw coupling safety mechanism to prevent unintentional loosening of the sleeve nuts is disclosed. The safety mechanism is formed from a first toothed disc and a second toothed disk each preferably with the same diameter. Safety catches are arranged on the inner circumference of the first toothed disk for locking the first disk in position with respect to one of the sleeve nuts. Safety catches are also arranged on the inner circumference of the second toothed disk for locking the disk in position with respect to the other sleeve nuts. Retaining springs are disposed on the inner circumference of the second disk for maintaining separation between the two disks. One of the toothed disks preferably features an even number of teeth and the other toothed disk preferably features an odd number of teeth. One tooth on one disk is then bent into a space between two teeth on the other disk, after engaging the safety catches, to prevent rotation of the nuts.
