After the complete fastening of the bearing fastening ring (7), it stops touching the fan, which can rotate freely.

Abstract: Soft tissue retention devices, instrumentation and related methods are disclosed. The devices include a first member comprising a first head portion and a first threaded shaft portion extending from the first head portion that define a cannulated opening extending therethrough, and a second member comprising a second head portion and a second threaded shaft portion extending from the second head portion that define a cannulated opening that extends therethrough. The inner sides of the first and second head portions includes a row of teeth extending about the periphery thereof. The first head portion also includes a plurality of through holes positioned between the first threaded shaft portion and the row of teeth. The outer sides of the first and second head portions include non-circular drive openings. The instrumentation comprise a handle portion with a through aperture that allows for a user's finger to extend therethrough during an implantation procedure.

Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively enhancing the weight and aerodynamics of sporting equipment are provided. A system may include a piece of sporting equipment having openings extending through the sporting equipment. The system may include a plug operable to be secured within one of the openings extending through the sporting equipment. The plug may include a first end portion, a second end portion, and an attachment mechanism. The first end portion may include a first outer flange and a first body. The first outer flange may have a larger diameter than the first body. The second end portion may include a second outer flange and a second body. The second outer flange may have a larger diameter than the second body. The attachment mechanism may be configured to connect the first end portion to the second end portion to secure the plug within the one of the openings.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a tamper proof light emitting module comprising the steps of (a) pre-assembling the light emitting module into a testing configuration including a housing and one or more light emitting elements mounted within the housing, the housing including first and second housing components connected together using at least one removable fastener connecting the first and second housing components; (b) testing the light emitting module to confirm the light emitting elements are operable; (c) after step (b), removing the removable fastener; (d) replacing the removable fastener removed in step (c) with at least one breakaway fastener; and (e) tightening the breakaway fastener(s) until the head of the breakaway fastener(s) breaks off so that the breakaway fastener(s) is no longer removable, thereby creating a final, tamper proof configuration of the light emitting module.

The self-retaining shear pin tool includes a cap having an inner side and an outer side opposite the inner side, the cap defining a first recess formed in the inner side of the cap, the first recess of the cap having a cylindrical portion and a frustoconical portion extending from the cylindrical portion towards the outer side of the cap, and a shear pin disposed partially in the first recess of the cap and extending out of the first recess of the cap. The shear pin includes a body, a first recess extending inward from a first end of the body, a second recess extending inward from a second end of the body, a first swage, and a second swage die.

The male member may include a male load-sharing feature having at least one male load-sharing surface. The anti-fatigue sleeve is disposed on the threaded bar on the side of the first flange between the nut and the first flange, the nut is configured to be screwed onto the threaded bar and is configured to press the anti-fatigue sleeve against the first flange to fasten the first flange and the second flange together.

The male member is inserted into and at least partially through aligned slots in the panels or flanges. The male member includes or houses a first securing component. The female member defines an opening generally complementally shaped to the projection of the male member. The male member and the female member are configured to receive the at least two panels or flanges between them when the projection is received in the opening. The washer mates with the female member such that displacement of the washer relative to the female member towards the male member is substantially prevented. The device further comprises a second securing component configured to mate with the first securing component and to secure the washer against the female member.

Abstract: A cranial burr hole plate is provided, the burr hole plate comprising a plate body and a plurality of spikes extending from the plate body. The spikes are configured to engage cranial bone, wherein the burr hole plate is deformable to enable movement of the spikes from a burr hole disengaging configuration to a burr hole engaging configuration upon deformation of the burr hole plate. Also provided is a deformation instrument for moving the spikes of a cranial burr hole plate into the burr hole engaging configuration is provided. The bracket comprises an interface surface configured to interface with a first side of the structure, and a through hole open at the interface surface. A shear stud of the attachment system comprises a projection, shaped to pass through the hole of the structure and engage the through hole of the bracket, and a seal region, positioned to interface with a second side of the structure to form a seal with the second side of the structure. The attachment system additionally comprises a fastener comprising a head and a shaft, the shaft being shaped to pass through the through hole in the bracket and engage the shear stud to secure the shear stud relative to the bracket thereby reducing shear at the fastener.

The elongated shaft has a breakaway groove configured to create a predictive fracture point below the head-end surface of the swage collar, such that a hole in the swage collar serves as a centering lead-in for a drill that can be used to remove the blind tack fastener.

Abstract: An implant for a hip can include a lateral augment adapted to be coupled to a lateral side of a femoral body implant. The lateral augment can include a body portion having a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a protrusion extending from the second surface. The protrusion can have a shape adapted to mate with a complementary shaped recess formed in the lateral side of the femoral body implant. An aperture can be positioned in the body portion and extend through the protrusion. A fastener can be received through the aperture and adapted to be threadably secured to the lateral bore. The fastener can be configured to have a length sufficient to pass through a portion of a greater trochanter for securing the portion of the greater trochanter and the lateral augment to the femoral body implant.

Abstract: A security attachment device can be used to securely attach a license plate to an automobile. A cap covers a screw used to attach a license plate to an automobile. An anchor anchors a container and the license plate to the automobile so that the container can freely rotate while anchored to the automobile. A ring is sized to fit over the container so that when the cap is attached to the container, the ring covers portions of the container not covered by the cap. The ring contains a first pin and the container contains a second pin hole. The first pin hole is located on the ring and the second pin hole is located on the container at locations that allow the first pin hole and the second pin hole to be aligned to receive a pin that when placed through the first pin hole into the second pin hole allows anchoring of the ring to the container when the cap is being screwed onto the container.

Abstract: An access panel for an opening in a duct is provided. The access panel includes an exterior and an interior. The access panel further includes a section positioned on the interior and having a profile substantially corresponding to the opening in the duct. A plurality of fasteners is positioned about the section. Each fastener has a clip configured to move to a position defined to extend away from the profile of the section on the interior. When the access panel is positioned with the section on the interior against the opening in the duct and the fasteners are moved to the locking position the clips rotate to extend over the profile and secure a portion of the duct adjacent to the opening against the interior of the access panel.

The transition section provides a valve cage with zero dead band between the noise abatement and high capacity flow sections when implemented into a fluid flow control device.

Abstract: A method for attaching a component to an internal portion of an aircraft fuselage is disclosed herein. The method includes mounting a vibration isolator assembly to the internal portion of the aircraft fuselage. The vibration isolator assembly has a protruding engagement portion having a flange. The method further includes defining an opening in a vibration-deadening body. The method further includes positioning the vibration-deadening body over the vibration isolator such that the protruding engagement portion is received within the opening. The method further includes pressing a retaining member onto the protruding engagement portion such that the retaining member engages the flange. The retaining member will retain a portion of the vibration-deadening body below an end of the protruding engagement portion. The method still further includes attaching the component to the protruding engagement portion.

In one embodiment, an anchor has a passageway that is threaded for at least a portion of its length. The connecting member is formed with a turning formation at its outer end so that it can be engaged with a turning tool in order to thread the connecting member into or out of the passageway. A nut is part of the connector and can be threaded onto the second section in order to secure the structure. Another version of the connector has a flanged nut having a flange spaced from the outer end of the nut, which is threadable onto a threaded connecting member.

A slot in the upper disc surface can be engaged by a tool for rotating the top and an O-ring located on the under disc surface seals the disc-shaped member to the upper surface of the toilet base. A plug fits within the slot to hide the same. The stem and top can be integrally formed in a single piece or can be made of more than one piece joined together.
