Headed Bolt Or Screw With Threads And Complementary Nut Patents (Class 411/366.1)
  • Patent number: 10876566
Abstract: A method of maintaining first and second objects in a desired relationship. The method involves obtaining a fastener having a body with an elongate shank. The body has a head with a blocking surface. The shank is configured to engage a surrounding bore surface on or associated with at least one of the first and second objects to cause the shank to advance axially in a tightening direction while turned in one direction. The fastener body is engaged at a location spaced from the head to turn the shank in the one direction, thereby causing the shank to draw the head so as to move the blocking surface on the head towards a selected holding position relative to one of the first and second objects wherein the fastener is in a fastened state. The invention is also directed to the fastener construction.

The unconventional bolt has a simple structure and a convenient assembly, and can improve the strength and rigidity of the nested profiled components after the connection; and the fastening device using the unconventional bolt can not only support the component but also reinforce it, thus effectively preventing the nested profiled components from transforming.

  • Patent number: 8696285
Abstract: A screw coupling between two bodies, one having an external screw thread and another having an internal screw thread complementary thereto, which screw threads are superimposed onto two base surfaces monotonously narrowing and widening respectively in the direction of a central axis, the longitudinal section of each of these screw threads relative to the central axis being a periodic univalent function which is continuous at least at the inflection points. The screw coupling has the following features: the first and second derivatives of the longitudinal section of each screw thread along the base surface is a continuous function; the second derivative of the longitudinal section of each screw thread relative to the central axis is a continuous function at least in the region of the inflection points; and the screw threads are in mutual contact over a substantial surface area differing from line contact.

Abstract: A screw connection, in particular for machine construction, special machine construction and plant construction, comprises a first element with an external thread and a first head part, and comprises a second element with an internal thread and a second head part. When the first element is screwed fully into the second element, a surface between the first head part and the second head part is formed as a smooth circular cylinder which is suitable in particular for pinning. In this way, a particularly simple screw connection is created which simultaneously serves for pinning and which is versatile.

Abstract: A clamp having a pair of clamping tangs hinged together at one end and connectable together at the other end by means of a screw and nut. The screw has a main threaded section for tightening of the nut onto a seat on a tang. It also has an unthreaded section of shaft, over which the nut can move freely. At the distal end of the screw is a further short threaded section, to retain the nut on the screw, when disconnected from the main threaded section. The nut can be removed totally from the screw by engaging with the short threaded section, and rotating to disengage. The to other end of one tang having a clevis into which a crossbar on the screw connects, the other tang also having a clevis into which the screw pivotally fits, the upper surface of the clevis providing a seat for the nut.
