  • Patent number: 11891189
Abstract: A seal-cover assembly for a structure including a first side and a second side opposing the first side. The seal-cover assembly includes a cap defining a recess, and an insert fixed to the cap within the recess to form a cover unit. The cover unit is configured to be secured to the first side of the structure. The seal-cover assembly includes a fastener configured to be disposed through the structure from the second side of the structure. The fastener is attached to the cover unit relative to the second side without accessing the first side of the structure. Additionally, an aircraft includes the structure and the seal-cover assembly as discussed above. Furthermore, a method of assembling the seal-cover assembly to the structure includes the cover unit secured to the first side of the structure such that an interior of the cover unit is inaccessible from the first side.

Abstract: A bolt terminal mounted on a guide rail is provided. The bolt terminal comprises a housing (1), an integral nut (2), a screw (3), a connection component (4), and a wiring metal surface (5); one end of the screw is provided in the housing, the other end of the screw is located outside the housing, and the screw located outside the housing is to be connected to the integral nut fitted therewith; the wiring metal surface is provided on the interface between the screw and the housing; and the housing is to be connected to the guide rail via the connection component. The bolt terminal increases the requirement for powering the wirings, and the bolt terminal can be removed from the guide rail only by using a conventional screwdriver to lightly tap on a removal port. The screw is integrally connected to the housing by injection molding and thus there is no risk of the screw falling off, enabling higher reliability.

Abstract: A spacer designed to be inserted between the roofing panel clip and the sheathing is provided. The spacer has a configuration of openings and slots on the spacer to allow it to be used with a wide variety of panel clips. The opening for the fastener, the outer rim, and the walls of the spacer are designed to seal against the sheathing and provide tiers of protection to prevent water from contacting the fasteners. The spacers are designed to have lips, grooves, and recessed areas that coincide with the walls to accommodate stacking to allow for different channel heights without having to stock multiple spacer sizes. Also, the preferred embodiment of the spacer is rounded to prevent water from collecting along the edges of the spacer and instead flow down the slope of the roof. Abstract: In order to produce a combination of a screw member comprising a screw head, a threaded portion and a shank portion which is arranged between the screw head and the threaded portion and has an external diameter that is smaller than the external diameter of the threaded portion, a washer incorporating a passage opening the diameter of which is smaller than the external diameter of the threaded portion, and a sleeve the internal diameter of which is greater than the external diameter of the threaded portion, whereby said combination can be produced in a simple manner but nevertheless ensures that the sleeve and the washer are held securely on the screw member, it is proposed that the sleeve have at least one projection which engages in a recess provided in the washer, wherein the sleeve is pressed against the washer in such a manner that the sleeve and the washer are connected together and held captive on the screw member.

Abstract: A threaded joining assembly for joining a first member and a second member that includes a nut having a sleeve-shaped body adapted to be fixed within a hole of the first member. The sleeve-shaped body has a threaded bore portion and a smooth bore portion. The bolt comprises first threads threadingly engaging the treaded bore portion of the nut, a fastening portion connected to the second member, and a sealing portion. The sealing portion comprises at least one sealing rib that engages the smooth bore portion of the nut in a sealed, self-locking relationship. The fastening portion comprises a flange engaging the second member and second threads threadingly engaging a lock-nut such that the position of the second member with respect to the first member may be fine adjusted by the bolt and fixed by clamping the second member between the flange of the bolt and the locknut.

Abstract: A fluid-tight, adjustable and self-locking threaded connection assembly comprising a nut and a bolt. The nut which is adapted to be fixed to a first structural member has a bore comprising a threaded portion and a smooth cylindrical portion. The bolt which is adapted to be removably connected to a second structural member has an intermediate portion provided with a plurality of circumferential sealing lips. The sealing lips are dimensioned with respect to said smooth cylindrical portion of the nut bore such that it is slidingly urged against said smooth portion of the nut bore when the bolt is adjusted relative to the nut. As a result thereof the threaded connection assembly is fluid-tight and self-locking while being adjustable.

Abstract: An electrical contact stud (1), a cap nut (12) of plastic material, an electrical contact system for fastening an electrical contact and a method for fastening an electrical contact to a workpiece (11) to be painted are provided. A cap nut (12), economically produced, made of plastics material, and not necessarily having to be electrically conducting, fastens an electrical contact shoe (21). As a plastics material nut can be self-locking, the required maximum torques for producing contact are relatively small, for example 8 Nm, and fastening an electrical contact is made possible even with thin sheets of metal with sheet metal thicknesses of less than 0.6 mm without deformation. The cap nut (12) made of plastics material serves in a first step as a seal against paint penetration into the electrical contact region and in a second step for fastening a contact shoe (21).

The subject mounting pin arrangement includes a sleeve assembly that has a plurality of sleeve segments and an elastomeric is positioned and connected to adjacent segments and includes an end cap on the end portion of the sleeve. The sleeve includes a tapered bore therethrough. A pair of inserts are positioned in the bore and include tapers that interact with the taper in the bore of the sleeve to expand the sleeve to seal the mounting arrangement. The arrangement of components provides an expandable pin arrangement that will prevent dust or dirt from entering the mounting arrangement to prolong the life of the various components.
