Having Resilient Securing Structure On Shank Patents (Class 411/508)
  • Patent number: 5135341
Abstract: On the rear side of the front panel (1) of an electronic equipment, at each lateral end which overlaps an edge of an aperture (3) into which the electronic equipment is being inserted, bushings (5) having rearwardly extending catch members (6) are fastened to the rear of the front panel by screws (12). The bushings are of resilient synthetic plastic. The catch members are disposed around a continuation of the central bore of the bushing. Stepped bores (14) are provided in the wall portion overlapped by the front panel. When the bushings are inserted into these stepped bores the catch members are first deflected inwards and then, as they reach their final position, spring outwards and catch against the step (16) of the bore (14). Mating projections (9) and openings (10) lock each bushing against rotation as it is screwed on to the front panel (1).

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for detachably connecting two parts. It has a receiving part (1) which possesses a housing (3a). A lock (5a) which has a bevelled entrance (7a) is mounted in the housing (3a). A locking pin (9d) having a displacement part (12a) is used for locking or for latching with the lock (5a), which is kept pressed in the locking direction by a rubber ring (16). A spring or block acts against movement of the locking pin (arrow 57). An unlocking part (11a) is mounted on the shaft of the locking pin (9d) so that the said unlocking part can slide in the direction of movement (arrow 57). The locking pin (9d) carries a thrust plate (8) on its end facing away from the displacement part (12a). If pressure is exerted on this thrust plate, the displacement part (12a) initially interlocks with the lock (5a).

Abstract: A grommet has a female member and a male member. Each member consists of a sleeve with a flange formed at one end. The sleeve of the male member is slightly smaller than the bore of the sleeve of the female member. A locking mechanism for the grommet consists of an annular groove inscribed within the inner surface of the sleeve of the female member and a slightly-offset, matching annular lip formed upon the outer surface of the sleeve of the male member. The annular groove and annular lip are offset so that the two members remain in tension, pulling toward one another when the grommet is locked in place. The grommet is locked in place by inserting the male member into the female member and urging them together until the annular lip fits within the annular groove. The grommet may be disassembled by placing a dowel or like object against the non-flanged end of the male member and striking the male member or otherwise applying a force thereto.

Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided a plaque holding clip which is characterized by that it has a pair of elastic legs that constitute a trunk of the clip. Because the outer peripheries of the elastic legs are subjected to evenly applied external force and hence smooth changes of load when the clip is introduced into a fitting bore, it maintains its original plaque holding potential for a long time. Moreover, since the outer peripheries of the elastic legs are so designed that they suitably adapt themselves to the inner periphery of a fitting bore, they are free from any undesirable deformations and consequently any changes of the load applied thereto even if the clip is introduced into a fitting bore in an inclined condition. This feature contributes to the ease of handling the clip. • Patent number: 4936066
Abstract: The connecting element (1) has a flat head (2) with an inside hexagon (3), a shaft (7, 8) and two studs (5, 6). The two studs (5, 6) are offset against one another through 90.degree.. The first stud (5) molded on the free shaft end is shorter than the second stud (6). The connecting element (1) is suited especially for connecting the side wall (37) of a supply body of a room divider with vertical, tubular columns (35) of the room divider. The connecting element is very rapidly mounted. In the installed state the second stud (6) holds the side wall (37) spaced from the column (35). For this reason the supply body is somewhat shorter than the clear distance between adjacent columns (35). The supply bodies, therefore, can be installed in and removed from the room divider very simply and rapidly subsequently.

  • Patent number: 4902181
Abstract: A one piece fastener which uses spring action to fasten parts together. The fastener has a body which is inserted into a drilled aperture in the parts. An enlarged head on one end of the body is too large to enter the aperture. A spring on the other end of the body is normally too large to enter the aperture but can be retracted to a size to pass through the aperture. A stud has its head connected to the spring and its opposite end in threaded engagement with an internally threaded passage extending through the body of the fastener. Turning of the stud by a special tool applies a torsional force to the spring which retracts it so that the fastener can be applied to or removed from the fastened parts. Alternative embodiments of the invention employ various types of multiple stage springs to enhance the fastening power.
