Abstract: A connector for a removable tailgate includes a shank, an actuator and a retainer. The shank has a thread, a passage and an opening from the exterior of the shank to the passage. The actuator is received within the passage and has a stop portion and a void, and is movable relative to the shank from a first position in which the void is aligned with the opening and a second position in which the stop portion is aligned with the opening. And the retainer is received in the opening and movable relative to the shank from an extended position in which the retainer extends outwardly from the exterior of the shank farther than the thread and a retracted position in which the retainer is received at least partially in the void and in which the retainer does not extend from the exterior of the shank beyond the thread.
Abstract: The present invention relates to bolt and nut loosening prevention assemblies for preventing a bolt and a nut adapted to fix a first member and a second member to each other from loosening, including: loosening prevention members fitted to the bolt and the nut coupled to the first member and the second member, respectively; caps detachably coupled to the loosening prevention members, respectively, to prevent the loosening prevention members from rotating; and dual washers fixedly coupled to the insides of the loosening prevention members, respectively, to prevent the bolt and the nut from loosening.
Abstract: An attachment for a personal care device, such as a shaving or trimming device, is configured to be releasably coupled to a coupling structure of the personal care device by a coupler. The coupler includes a shaft having at least one coupling recess on the circumferential surface thereof. The coupling recess has a central portion and first and second side portions arranged on opposite sides of the central portion. The coupling recess also includes a sloped surface arranged in at least the central portion. When the attachment is coupled to the coupling structure, the sloped surface is engaged by a spring of the coupling structure. At least one of the first and second side portions of the coupling recess is recessed relative to the sloped surface, seen in a direction parallel to the central axis of the shaft.

Abstract: A locking nut assembly for use on a shaft having a longitudinally extending channel. The locking nut assembly includes a nut having an annular portion with a slot extending radially through the annular portion. The locking nut assembly also includes a lock plate having an opening therein through which the annular portion of the nut is received and a tab which projects through the slot in the nut and into the channel on the shaft when the assembly is installed on the shaft prohibiting rotation of the nut. A retainer retains the lock plate on the nut.

Abstract: A screw threaded fastener comprising a first member with an external screw thread and a second member with a corresponding internal screw thread. One of said first and second members has a radial bore, and the other of said first and second members has a corresponding recess, so that when the screw threads of the first and second members engage, the radial bore may be aligned angularly with the recess. A resilient pin assembly is provided having pins located in said radial bore. The pins are thus resiliently urged in said radial bore toward said recess, so that when the radial bore is aligned angularly with the recess, the pins engage the recess, preventing further relative rotation between the first and second members.
Abstract: A nut lock or locking cap secures a nut on a bolt so that the nut cannot loosen itself and so that the nut cannot fall off the bolt. For this purpose the nut lock has a first ring section that at least partially surrounds the bolt and a second ring section that at least partially surrounds the nut. The two ring sections are interconnected by a radially extending flange, whereby the first ring section has a smaller diameter than the diameter of the second ring section. The first ring section has at least one through-hole that can be aligned with a cross-bore in the bolt for the insertion of a locking pin. The second ring section has radially inwardly facing profiled surfaces that enter into a form-locking, force-transmitting connection with the outer profile of the nut.
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved system (30) for maintaining the position of a castellated nut (34) on a spindle (31) having an axial bore (33) therethrough. The improved system (30) utilizes chordal bore (36) passing through the spindle (31). After the castellated nut (34) is positioned on the spindle (31) a cotter pin (37) is placed within chordal bore (36). The cotter pin (37) is of sufficient length such that both ends (38, 39) thereof extend from the drilled spindle and engage the slots (35) of the castellated nut (34). Thus, the cotter pin (37) prevents rotation of castellated nut (34) maintaining the proper position thereof.
Abstract: A stud is formed with an extension to permanently hold an adapted-head by means of a forged pin. The nut-head is designed to be able to withstand torsional and shearing stresses. The extension is especially designed to form a head in conjunction with a nut-head and a pin which is forged in between. The stud-head is designed to withstand torsional and shearing stresses limited to that amount applied to the shank.
