Automatic Base Clutch Patents (Class 411/956)
  • Patent number: 11808295
Abstract: A fixing device has two threaded rings (10, 12), and aa membrane (14) held between them that is an integral part of this pair of rings (10, 12) and is kept at a distance from the rings (10, 12) by introduced slots (16, 18, 24, 26), rectilinear in a unmounted state. The slots open to the outside. By resting against only partially annularly extending webs (20, 22) and having a clamping bolt (30) usable to adjust the axial distance between the and passing through the membrane (14) between two adjacent webs (20, 22), in the unmounted state the membrane is oriented in an undeformed manner in parallel to the rings (10, 12) and in a mounted state it is moved between the webs (20, 22) in a deformed state in the direction of at least one of the rings to at least partially form a slanted or arc course, as soon as the distance (a) between a pair (10, 12) of rings (10, 12) is reduced by the clamping bolt. The clamping bolt (30) passes through adjacent slots (16, 18, 24, 26) separated from the membrane (14).

  • Patent number: 11808324
Abstract: A locking shackle for use with a pin having a protruding locking tab. The shackle defines (a) an entry eyehole has a non-linear insertion channel through which the locking tab may pass; and (b) a locking eyehole having an insertion channel through which the locking tab may pass, and a locking keyhole which releasably engages the locking tab when the pin is fully inserted into the shackle.

  • Patent number: 11598168
Abstract: A seal assembly and methods of use, wherein the seal assembly is formed of an elastomeric enclosure within which a primary cavity is defined. A second cavity in the form of a crushable container is deployed within the primary chamber. An elastomeric compound is contained in one cavity and an elastomeric hardener contained in the other cavity. Upon application of an external force to the elastomeric enclosure, the enclosure is elastically deformed from a first shape to a second shape, wherein the second shape positions the elastomeric enclosure into a sealing configuration between adjacent annular surfaces. The external force also crushes the container, to cause mixing of the elastomeric compound and elastomeric hardener. Once the reaction is complete, the hardened compound retains the deformed shape of the elastomeric enclosure to maintain a seal between the annular surfaces.

  • Patent number: 10385548
Abstract: A lock assembly for an excavator wear assembly, the lock assembly a locking pin having at least one dowel extending outwardly therefrom. The lock assembly also includes a retaining member having a seat and a cavity and a biasing member located within the cavity of the retaining member. The biasing member is adapted to exert a biasing force on the dowel to releasably retain the dowel within the seat of the retaining member.

  • Patent number: 8840348
Abstract: The invention relates to a self-locking screwing attachment device (1a, 1b) including a nut (2a, 2b) screwed onto a threaded tip (3a, 3b) extending in a screwing axis (X), characterized in that the nut (2a, 2b) includes: a first element (6a, 6b) rotating relative to the tip (3a, 3b) when screwing; a second element (13a, 13b) rotatably engaged with the tip (3b) or an adjacent part (5) to be assembled, the tip (3a) passing therethrough; a stop member (23a, 23b) rotatably secured to the first element (6a, 6b); a releasable coupling means (26a, 26b, 27a, 27b, 28a, 28b) between the stop member (23a, 23b) and the second element (13a, 13b), the nut also being provided with an area for direct clamping between a first clamping surface (20a, 20b) of the first element (6a, 6b) and a second clamping surface (21a, 21b) of the second element (13a, 13b), when the second element (13a, 13b) axially engages with the tip (3a, 3b) or said adjacent part (5) to be assembled.

  • Patent number: 5332279
Abstract: A power door operator for multi-passenger mass transit vehicles, typically buses, features electric actuation of dual swinging doors. A manual activator having an ergonometrically correct actuating plunger, for emergency door opening, operates a sleeved clutch. Fixed to the sleeve clutch is a drive bar with arms having individually adjustable lengths. The drive arms actuate outboard door shaft levers on individual door leaf through door drive rods intermediate the door arms and drive arms. Each rod incorporates spherical rod ends. The drive arms also actuate limit switches establishing door opened and door closed circuitry for energizing the electric drive system. The adjustable length clutch door drive arms provide a convenient device for controlling door leaf closing sequence and residual or door holding force when the doors are in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 5190301
Abstract: The present invention provides a fastening system that is not subject to loosening and that is useful for attaching one member to another member. The invention provides an arrangement for mounting a wheel to an in-line roller skate and comprises mutually engagable undulating surface patterns disposed on a skate frame side rail and the bottom surface of the head of the wheel axle. The threaded fastener that is attached to the other end of the axle may also include a surface pattern that is mutually engagable with a surface pattern on the other side rail to provide locking engagement between the threaded fastener and the axle head on both sides of the skate frame.
