And Engaging The Inwardly Facing Surface Of The Bolt Heads Or Nuts Patents (Class 411/98)
  • Patent number: 10883385
Abstract: An attachment mechanism for a gas turbine engine component includes an elongated body having at least first and second ends. A first attachment feature is formed at the first end. A second attachment feature is formed at the second end. The first and second attachment features define attachment points configured to attach a first gas turbine engine component to a second gas turbine engine component. A fan section for a gas turbine engine and a gas turbine engine are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7344333
Abstract: An anchor bolt bolt does not easily jump up even if a tire hits a bumping post. A through hole for inserting the anchor bolt into the bumping post is formed by embedding a cylindrical anchor holder. The anchor holder has a cylinder for receiving the anchor bolt and a head for containing the head of the anchor bolt. A plurality of projecting parts, forming a protruding line, prevent the head of the anchor bolt from jumping up. The projecting parts are positioned at the head of the holder. Since the head of the bolt is pressed down from above by the protruding line, the head of the bolt will not jump up over the projecting parts.

  • Patent number: 4885834
Abstract: Each dual wheel assembly on a tractor or trailer system includes outer and inner wheels mounted on a plurality of studs projecting from a hub. The inner wheel is held in place on the studs by a number of flanged cap nuts and the outer wheel is held in place by a number of wheel nuts. When unthreading the wheel nuts to remove the outer wheel, some of the cap nuts invariably remain engaged with the wheel nuts whereas the cap nuts should all remain engaged with the threaded studs during this step. The device disclosed herein is in the form of a ring having a number of hexagonal holes therein corresponding to the number of wheel nuts so that the ring can be placed over those wheel nuts remaining engaged with their cap nuts to prevent rotation of the wheel nuts when each cap nut is individually spun out through the back side of the removed outer wheel.

  • Patent number: 4781502
Abstract: An anti-rotation locking device for threaded fasteners which secure rotating parts subject to vibration, shock and the like. The device comprises a strap member and one or more retainer members. The strap member is positioned under the fasteners and the retainer members each have a toothed opening which is installed over the matching wrenching surface of the fastener. Each retainer member also has an arcuate slot which is positioned above an arcuate tang on the strap member. The tang is lifted, passed through the slot, bent about the bottom of the slot and folded back over the top surface of the retainer member to thereby restrain the loosening of the fastener.
