Abstract: A mounting assembly for a stern drive engine including a mounting base, an engine mounting foot or bracket for securing an engine to a watercraft, and a lock ring for securing the engine mounting bracket in a constant position relative to the mounting base. The mounting base includes a threaded mounting bolt to receive a first adjustment nut, the engine mounting bracket, the lock ring and a second nut. The bottom surface of the locking ring engages a top surface of the engine mounting bracket with a downwardly extending arm or arms of the lock ring extending through an aperture in the engine mounting bracket to engage the first adjustment nut. The threaded bolt of the mounting base extends through apertures of the engine mounting bracket platform and mounting ring, and a second nut engages the top surface of the lock ring, preventing rotation of the first adjustment nut, and ultimately limiting movement of the marine stern drive engine.

Abstract: A locking fastener is provided that may be automatically unlocked and locked by sliding a wrench onto the nut and removing the wrench. The fastener includes a biased arm extending outward from a wrench bearing surface that presses against a pawl. The pawl includes ratchet teeth that engage ratchet teeth of a retainer to lock the fastener. The fastener is unlocked by compressing the arm with a wrench.
Abstract: A fluid apparatus unit structure in which a uniform tightening force is easily applied over the entire periphery by tightening a plurality of fastening members to obtain an advantageous sealing performance is provided. In s fluid apparatus unit structure in which plural fluid apparatus components that are connected via flow paths are collected together and integrated onto a base member, a casing member for the fluid apparatus components is partitioned into plural members in the base member mating direction, a female threading portion assembly (19) in which plural nut portions (18a) that form female threading portions that communicate in the mating direction are integrated by a linking member (18b), is fit and installed on base side partitioned members of a casing member that is disposed at a position in close contact with a base member or a base members, and with base side member interposed therebetween, different fastening members are threaded and tightened from both sides of the nut portion (18a).
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for locking and flagging a wheel nut, the wheel nut being rotatable about a central axis to a secured position. The apparatus comprises a substantially cylindrical body having a toothed central bore therein sized to closely surround and engage a periphery of the wheel nut. The cylindrical body having a slot therein so as to permit the cylindrical body to be radially expandable. The apparatus further comprises a first extension extending perpendicularly from the body having an indicator thereon and a second extension extending perpendicularly from the body to an opposed side thereof. The second extension having a distal end adapted to overlap and engage with a first extension of an adjacent wheel nut cover so as to cover the indicator of the adjacent wheel nut cover when the wheel nut is in a secured position.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a pivotal disc is pivotally coupled to a first brace and a second brace. The pivotal disc has a motion-limit member and a positioning member limiting the angle by which the second brace rotates with respect to the first brace with the pivotal disc being the axis and fixing the angle between the first and second braces. The present invention is characterized in that the motion-limit member uses a range-adjust member to push a slide block and determine the range that a block portion of the second brace is blocked by the slide block, and that the positioning member uses a switch knob actuates on end of a positioning rod to engage with or depart from a positioning notch on the pivotal disc, and that the pivotal disc has two limit elements to define the maximum movement range of the first brace and the second brace.
Abstract: A multifunction wheel nut cap is used on motor vehicle to indicate loosening and rotation of a lug nut. On large trucks on which the lug nuts have to be frequently torqued to prevent the lug nut from loosening and turning until it drops from the wheel bolt, the indication of rotation and limiting of the rotation prevents the lug nut loss and requires tightening only when there is an indication that the lug has become loose. The Wheel cap nut device gives a visual warning when a nut has become loose. It also prevents water and contaminants from penetrating the lug nut and bolt threads.
Abstract: Prior to engaging a male screw formed on the outer circumference of a second member with a female screw formed on the inner circumference of a hole in a first member, protruding parts which protrude outward in the radial direction and are positioned at one end side of the male screw in the axial direction are formed in a plurality of regions which are separated from each other in the circumferential direction on the outer circumference of the second member on which the male screw is formed. The male screw is then engaged with the female screw from the other end side of the male screw in the axial direction. The torque required to rotate the male screw engaged with the female screw in the loosening direction is set so as to be greater in a state where the protruding parts are interposed between the male screw and the female screw than in a state where the protruding parts are not so interposed.
Abstract: In some embodiments, a fastening system includes two opposing plates, and a retainer material that is activated to increase the flexibility of the retainer material. The retainer material surrounds at least a portion of two opposing plates, the plates and the retainer material mounted to allow the plates to move apart and back together when the retainer material is flexible. A pin is insertable through an opening between the plates. The pin includes a first tapered portion configured to separate the plates as the pin is inserted in the opening via a pushing force. The retainer material becomes rigid when deactivated to lock the pin between the plates.
Abstract: A knee brace is provided with push button actuatable stops, wherein the stops are biased outward into angular locking positions and inwardly directed pressure on the push buttons releases the stops and permits angular adjustment of the stops. A pair of catch plates with locking recesses facing inward, are provided, and outwardly biased locking pins engage the recesses in both catch plates. Each of the stop assemblies has an outwardly directed plate extending over the outer cover plate, and this plate is coupled to the physical stop member around the outer edge of the outer cover plate. The cover plate has angular indicia thereon, which may be viewed through windows in the outwardly extending plate portions of the stop assemblies.

Abstract: The invention relates to both nut assemblies and methods for producing the same. Said nut assemblies consist of a nut body (1a) and a pressure disk (2a). The nut body has a drive portion, such as a polygonal portion, for engaging with a tool and an abutment region that can be brought into contact with the supporting surface of the pressure disk arranged on the nut body in a captive manner. The pressure disk has a central opening into which a neck formed on the nut extends axially at least in part. The neck has a projection for forming a captive connection. This projection radially overlaps or engages the thrust ring.
Abstract: On a brake support (12) engaging over a brake disk (10) a piston (34) is supported and on the other side a floating caliper (14) is supported for axial displacement. In both cases slide guides (40) are provided for the supporting and each have a guide body (42) having a groove (46) parallel to the axis (A) of the brake disk (10) and a threaded pin (48) which extends transversely of the axial center plane (B) of the brake and engages into the associated groove (46). The slide guides (40) are surrounded in each case by a resilient sealing sleeve (54) which is protected by a heat shield (66) arranged between it and the brake disk (10). Associated with the threaded pins (48) are anti-rotation locks for securing the pins against turning and which comprise mounting members (56) secured to the brake support (12). The mounting members (56) carry at the same time the heat shields (66).
Abstract: In the mounting of an attachment to a base member, an insert which has a centrally located threaded hole and an outer cylindrical surface which has an interference fit with a cooperating hole in the base member and is adapted to receive a bolt extending through the attachment and into said insert, the insert having a head at the end remote from where the attachment is positioned with a flat surface on the head cooperating with a connector device by which turning of the insert in the base member is provided.
