Abstract: The battery charging warehouse includes a pallet rack and a battery charger. The pallet rack has a plurality of storage locations in each of which a battery is stored. At least one of the storage locations is a charging storage location in which the battery is charged. The battery charger is mounted to an upper part of the charging storage location. The battery charger is movable up and down in the charging storage location and has a charge connector. When the battery charger is moved down in the charging storage location, the charge connector is received by a battery connector of the battery stored in the charging storage location thereby to automatically connect the charge connector to the battery connector.
Abstract: A loader device for an automatic space treatment furnace having a longitudinal axis and means for driving the furnace in guided translation along said longitudinal axis. The loader device is disposed in the vicinity of the furnace and comprises both a cartridge-carrying carousel fitted with a set of cartridge holders removably receiving sealed closed cartridges each designed to contain a sample for treatment in said space furnace, the cartridges being disposed in the carousel parallel to its axis of rotation, and a control mechanism for imparting indexed rotary drive to the cartridge holders. The carousel is itself mounted relative to the furnace in such a manner that its axis of rotation forms a predetermined angle a relative to the longitudinal axis of the furnace, and each cartridge holder of the carousel co-operates with a tilting mechanism to enable each cartridge to take up a working position in which the axis of the cartridge is tilted through said predetermined angle .alpha.
Abstract: A cupola installation having a top charging opening and a vibratory feeder mounted to discharge into the top opening from one side. The skiphoist associated with the cupola carries two charging buckets, one for discharging charge material into the top charging opening in the stack while the other is for simultaneously discharging material into the pan or hopper of the vibratory feeder. When the empty charging buckets are lowered, the vibratory feeder is operated to discharge its load into the top charging opening. The use of two charging buckets permits a charge material of a type not suitable for charging along with the main charging material, to be separately charged in a gentler manner. For example, briquettes of cast iron borings and chips or of steel turnings are easily broken into objectionable fines when handled and charged in a conventional manner. Cooperating equipment associated with the trim platform assists in the loading of charge material into the separate charging buckets.
