The brick layer compacting system includes a table top having a generally flat surface for receiving the brick layer; and two mechanical stops secured to the table top on the generally flat surface so as to define two straight edges on the table top that are perpendicular to each other. The table top is oriented so that a virtual intersection of both straight edges is lower than any other parts of the two straight edges. Bricks received on the flat surface are moved by gravity towards the virtual intersection of the two straight edges, thereby removing gaps between the bricks and indexing the bricks relative to both straight edges.

    Abstract: A beverage truck having unique unloading and loading apparatus. The apparatus, which may be mounted to an existing beverage truck, or built into one as original equipment, has a framework at the front and back of the truck body which supports a track that spans the length of the body roof along its longitudinal center line. A trolley is carried on the track and moved by a powered chain drive from one end of the body to the other. Mounted to the trolley is a pivoting telescoping arm assembly that carries at the end of the arm a fork lift assembly. By operating simple controls, the user can move the trolley, extend the arm, raise, lower, rotate and tilt the forks to cause the forks to enter into the cargo area of the body, under the roof, to unload cargo from the truck and place it, e.g., on a loading dock or on the ground.

    Abstract: An apparatus for the safe, cost-efficient disassembling of a sectionalized tower crane boom is provided that enables disassembling of the boom while the boom is at terminal heights. The disassembling apparatus includes a working platform that may be detachably coupled to an inboard boom section, a pair of independently controlled jibs for lifting and supporting the outermost boom section, and a supporting structure and puller hoist for shifting the position of a detached boom section to a position wherein the center of gravity of the detached section may be generally vertically aligned with the center of support for the disassembling apparatus. Vertical alignment of the disassembling apparatus' and the detached boom section's centers of gravity is provided to assure safe and stable lowering of the apparatus and detached boom section.

A carriage is mounted on a cross member of the gantry and a roll extraction device with roll receiving rotatable sleeves therein is suspended from the carriage in a vertically adjustable manner. The cross member of the gantry is preferably a box girder of which the lower wall has lateral projections providing guide surfaces engaging in an inverted T-section groove of the carriage.
