Tilting Track Section Patents (Class 414/599)
  • Patent number: 8002512
Abstract: A material transport system and method of use is disclosed herein. The system includes a base assembly having an adjustable width, a material support platform hingedly attached to the base assembly, the platform supported angularly above the base assembly by at least two support tubes hingedly attached to the base assembly, a left pair and a right pair of rail guides aligned along the length of the base assembly, the rails removably attached to the underside of the base assembly, and a left pair and a right pair of wheels axially mounted between each rail guide pair, the bottom edges of the rail guides extending past the edges of the wheels, the system characterized in that the rail guides and wheels enable the transport system to be pulled along the rails of a ladder by wire, rope, or like component attached to the transport system.

  • Patent number: 6533525
Abstract: An extendable loading floor for a motor vehicle has a supporting element which is fitted to the loading floor and can be adjusted along an associated supporting rail which extends in the pull-out direction and is connected to the vehicle. The loading floor is adjustable between a retracted position and en extended position. In order to simplify the design of a loading floor of this type, lifting apparatuses are connected to the vehicle and support the loading floor in the vicinity of the loading edge. The lifting apparatuses are designed to carry out a lift. In addition, the supporting rail rises, by a difference in level corresponding to the lift of he lifting apparatus, between a first rail section which faces away from the loading edge and in which the supporting element of the loading floor is supported in its retracted position, and a second rail section which faces the loading edge and in which the supporting element of the loading floor is supported in its extended position.

  • Patent number: 5468266
Abstract: A carbonaceous heat source comprising metal oxides and methods for making such heat source are provided. The heat source has an ignition temperature substantially lower than conventional carbonaceous heat sources, while at the same time produces virtually no carbon monoxide upon combustion. The heat source is prepared by pre-forming the carbon and binder materials into a desired shape, and then treating the shape with a sol containing metal oxide precursors. The metal oxide precursors are deposited in the pre-formed carbon shape. Further treatment converts the deposited metal oxide precursors into metal oxide.

  • Patent number: 4872801
Abstract: A trash collecting apparatus is described for mounting on a trash collection vehicle for one man side loading operation. A pair of spaced apart parallel guide rails each having a long vertical straight section and a short curved section at the top are pivotally attached to the vehicle at the top. A power cylinder is provided at the lower end of the guide rails for pushing and retracting the lower end of the guide rails form the vehicle. A pair of grabber arms are provided for grabbing the periphery of the trash can to be emptied. The grabber arms are connected to lifting arms. The lifting arms comprise an upper lifting arm segment and a lower lifting arm segment. A power cylinder drives the lifting arms so that the lower end of the lower lifting arm follows the guide rails to the curved section.

  • Patent number: 4309785
Abstract: Aligning apparatus for securing to a boat for maintaining thereof in operative relationship to a trailer during launching and retrieving operations. A strut assembly is provided with one end connected to the trailer and extends transversely away thereof, and a line extends from a support at the other end of the strut assembly to the stern of the boat and passes forwardly to a position adjacent the front of the trailer. The strut assembly is of such a length that the support is spaced outwardly from the trailer a distance sufficient to counteract athwartship movement of the stern.
