Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for installing a fence. In most embodiments the device comprises three main areas: the driver area, the installer area, and the storage area. The driver area is where the driver of the device is located and comprises the necessary components to drive the device, such as a motor and steering mechanism. The installer area is where the fence installer is located, and in most embodiments is placed above the driver area so that the installer can access the top rail of the fence during installation. The storage area is where the fencing material is placed, often times as a roll. This roll is fed out of the storage area and installed by the installer while the device is driven down the length of the fence. This device beneficially decreases the amount of time and man-power required to install a fence.

Abstract: The present invention comprehends a forklift attachment, generally comprising a pair of forks rotatably mounted to a fork plate using a pair of pivot pins with each pivot pin having a center axis normal to the fork plate. Upper bore pins and lower bore pins are adapted to travel within bores of the fork plate. As such, actuators connected to the upper bore pin rotate the forks about the center axis such that the forks can apply opposing lateral compression forces to a flexible dumpster. In a method for collecting waste, a disposer places the flexible dumpster near the waste disposal site whereby a truck-mounted forklift can be utilized to engage the forks with the side portions of the flexible dumpster for loading and disposal. Accordingly, large dumpsters do not have to dropped off at the waste disposal site and large trucks no longer have to be utilized.

A zigzag folded web passes by a pair of opposing front and rear compression plate assemblies, with fingers that are extended to selectively project into the folding area, onto a stack supported by a vertically moving supporting mechanism. The supporting mechanism cycles between an ever-lower position in which upper, loose pages of the folded web pass by plate fingers (when retracted) and an upper position in which the stack engages and presses upwardly against the now-extended plate fingers to compress the stack.

  • Patent number: 6092976
Abstract: A tilt control valve controls the flow of hydraulic oil to actuate the tilt cylinders of a forklift mast. The tilt control valve is switched between two positions by the forklift operator by means of a tilt lever. When at one position, the tilt control valve stops flow of oil to the tilt cylinders, thereby prohibiting tilting of the mast. When at the other position, the tilt control valve permits oil flow to the tilt cylinders, thereby allowing tilting of the mast. A control valve is located between the tilt cylinders and the tilt control valve. A seat switch detects whether or not the operator is sitting on the seat. A CPU permits the operator to continue to operate the tilt cylinders to tilt the mast when out of the seat for a brief period. However, after the brief period, the CPU closes the control valve to prevent movement of the mast unless the operator has returned to the seat.

Abstract: Converts any fork lift truck to a roll turning fork truck by sliding a specially designed rectangular frame onto the truck forks. A safety chain is incorporated to firmly attach the device to the fork lift carriage. The frame combines a power hoist, with load sensing brake, and cable that engages a roll or coil core via a roll center lift, which continuously grips the core firmly, in combination with an arm proceeding out from the roll center lift to the outside mid-width of the roll or coil which is attached to an adjustable fixed length chain. By lowering or raising the hoist cable past the fixed length chain, rolls can be turned to either a true horizontal or vertical position. The adjustable "L" frame suspends from the fixed length chain at the lowest point with a pivot pin to achieve the turning feature when the hoist cable is activated.

Abstract: A lift truck pivot frame paper roll handling clamp assembly for engaging and moving paper rolls of varying diameter. The clamp has a mounting frame that is rotatably mounted on a lifting apparatus of the lift truck. A pair of sub-frames are pivotally attached to the mounting frame by four pivot arms which permit eccentrical pivoting of the sub-frame in relation to the mounting frame. This eccentric pivotal motion is essentially a guided linear side shift movement of one end of the sub-frame and guided a circular segment path at the other end thereof. This results in a turning generally about a "floating point" approximately halfway between the center of gravity of the roll and the body of the clamp. The clamp assembly also includes a pair of hydraulically actuated opposing clamp arms pivotally connected to the sub-frame for gripping paper rolls of varying diameter.
