  • Patent number: 8087878
Abstract: A powerless diversion plate of a ceiling air-conditioning circulation machine includes a bearing block and a bearing within a circular inflow/outflow hole for installing a diversion disc having a plurality of radial separation pieces. A plurality of conic and ring-shaped diversion pieces are positioned around the connection shaft. The diversion disc is separated by the ring-shaped diversion pieces and the radial separation pieces to create air inflow/outflow zones. The diversion disc has a downward protruding middle part and a staged structure at the rim thereof to form a predetermined shape. This obviates a powered motor, as the radial separation pieces of the diversion disc serve as a working surface, and respond to forced air for causing the diversion disc to be driven in 360° rotation to diffuse air downward or suck air upward in a flowing way, thereby enhancing air-outflowing and convection efficiency and reducing energy consumption and carbon release.

  • Patent number: 7409962
Abstract: A dishwasher includes a pump assembly for establishing a recirculated wash fluid flow within a washing chamber. The pump assembly includes a housing having a recirculation portion and a drain portion. The recirculation portion includes an inlet passage, a recirculation passage and a pump mount. The inlet and recirculation passages share a common wall and open into the pump mount. The pump assembly further includes a pump having a housing, a motor drivingly connected to an impeller and a conduit having inlet and outlet portions projecting from the housing. The inlet and outlet portions are concentrically arranged within the conduit and fluidly connected with the impeller. • Patent number: 6447246
Abstract: A torque converter in which a flatness (2L/H) and a torus inside and outside radius ratio (r/R) satisfy the following equations: (1) 0.55<(2L/H)<0.75 and (2) 35<(r/R)<0.40. Then, assuming that an axially central position of the flow path along a rotational shaft of the torque converter is an origin, an axial direction is an X direction and a radial direction is a Y direction, the configuration of the flow path of the turbine member is set such that the position of a point of contact between a straight line inclined 45 degrees relative to the X direction and a curve constituting an external circumference surface of the flow path in the turbine member is located within an area surrounded by two straight lines expressed as (3) Y=(R/L)×X+(6/4)×R and (4) Y=(R/L)×X+(7/4)×R.

  • Patent number: 4917569
Abstract: A containment system for a radial flow turbine assembly includes a housing assembly, and a turbine rotor journalled for rotation about an axis and having a hub portion and a generally tapering disc portion extending radially outward from the hub portion. An annular nozzle assembly normally secured in the housing assembly against rotation forms a tapered rotor chamber within which the rotor rotates with minimum axial and radial clearance between the rotor and the chamber. A plurality of support struts extend axially inward from the nozzle assembly to a minimal axial and radial clearance with the hub portion of the rotor and forms a first stage of containment. The rotor must first break through the nozzle struts and separate the nozzle assembly. A rotatable nozzle assembly then absorbs some of the force by rotating in the housing assembly and containment ring. An armored containment ring stops the fragments that escape the nozzle assembly and finally, an outer housing provides still further containment.
