  • Patent number: 10184461
Abstract: A pump has a housing having at least one inlet, one outlet, and an internal track with a given configuration. A piston movably positioned inside the housing has at least one protuberance movably mated to the track. As the piston is reciprocally driven by a motor, it is guided by the movement of the protuberance along the track to move bidirectionally along the housing and selectively rotate such that when the piston is moved to a first position, a fluid path is established through the inlet to enable fluid to be input into the housing. When the piston is moved to a second position, another fluid path is established through the outlet so that fluid is output from the housing. Multiple chambers may be formed in the housing to enable synchronous and selective opening and closing of respective inlets and outlets to enhance fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 9289666
Abstract: A baseball training apparatus occludes peripheral vision of each eye across the nose region of a baseball player by creating a visual divide that extends from and immediately adjacent to the nose along the central sagittal plane. In various embodiments, the visual divide is extendible, removable and replaceable, pivotal, and may incorporate scribes to vary shape or geometry. The visual divide may further be mounted from a pair of glasses without lenses, though other embodiments with and without lenses are contemplated. The eye divider is used to align or confirm alignment of a baseball player properly with the pitcher, to ensure that the batter has both eyes facing the pitcher.

  • Patent number: 6358023
Abstract: The moment pump (10) of the present invention includes a flexible container (12) having an outer wall (14) and two opposing end walls (16, 18) attached thereto. The container (12) is made of a resilient material and has a preformed, non-biased shape. A pair of one-way valves (20) is operably attached to the container (12) and provides for the flow of a liquid therethrough. A first actuator rod (22) has fixedly attached on one end a first biasing object (24) and on the other end a restraining member (26). The first end wall (16) is attached to the first actuator rod (22) between the first biasing object (24) and the restraining member (26). A second actuator rod (30) has fixedly attached on one end a second biasing object (28) and on the other end a transfer housing (32). The second actuator (30) slidably passes through the second end wall (41).

  • Patent number: 4979878
Abstract: An asymmetrical or relieved piston is provided in a fluid motor or a pump. The piston is rigidly connected to one end of the connecting rod, the opposite end of which is pivotally connected to a rotating crankshaft. The piston has a relieved upper and lower section each of which has a partial spherical surface. When the piston is tilted in one direction through half of a rotation of the crankshaft, a seal is formed between the partial spherical surface and the wall of a cylinder. During the other half of the rotation, the relieved piston is tilted in the opposite direction, the seal is broken, and fluid bypasses the piston from the upper half of the cylinder volume to the lower half or vice versa. A floating poppet valve is utilized in the engine, and a floating check valve is utilized in the pump of the described single piston embodiments.

  • Patent number: 4750868
Abstract: A pump with a continuous inflow and a pulsating outflow comprises a first chamber and a second chamber with a passage between them and made at least partly from a flexible material. There is an inlet to the first chamber and an outlet from the second chamber. The passage between the chambers has a one-way valve permitting flow only in a direction from the first to the second chamber. A second one-way valve located at the outlet permits flow only in a direction out of the second chamber. The chambers are movably supported in a pump casing having a first and a second opening. The inlet is connected to and penetrates the first opening, and the outlet is connected to and penetrates the second opening. A drive arrangement reduces the volume of the second chamber to expel the pumped medium while simultaneously enabling the walls of the first chamber to increase the volume and permit the pumped medium to flow through the inlet into the first chamber.

  • Patent number: 4718832
Abstract: Electromagnetic reciprocating pump including a plurality of pumps combined in such a manner that the mode of connection between the suction inlet and the discharge outlet in each of the pumps is allowed to be changed and, as the result, the amount of suction or discharge or the degree of vacuum or compression is allowed to be selected at a multiplicity of stages without any loss of the energy of the alternating current power. The plurality of pumps are disposed in such a manner that the axes of their respective pistons intersect one another at one point and the pumps themselves are rotationally symmetrical with respect to the point mentioned above.
