    Abstract: A two-cylinder air compressor has a motor with a through drive shaft. Identical housings are provided at each end of a cylindrical spacer sleeve that surrounds the motor. The housings include cylinder housing extensions each of which mounts a cylinder sleeve, a valve plate, and a head. The heads are part of a one-piece cylinder head member. Wobble pistons are mounted on each end of the motor shaft and operate in the cylinder sleeves. The cylinder sleeves rest on a floor in the housing which has integrally formed passages for cooling air to circulate around the cylinder sleeves. The one-piece cylinder head member includes integral tubes connecting the heads. The integral tubes span the distance between the heads and are spaced from the outside of the spacer. The housings may be joined by through bolts or without bolts by press fitting the bearings in the housing, press fitting the housings to the spacer sleeve, and press fitting the motor shaft into the bearings.

The pump head is connected to an air outlet and a check valve communicating with the piston rod. When the piston displaces, air is drawn in via the ends of the pump body through the annular gasket and the annular groove into the piston rod via the through holes and is then discharged via the check valve and the air outlet.

The recess thus defines an annular space between the swing pipe and the wearing ring with the inner surface of the extension portion of the swing pipe facing the annular space. The elastic member includes a radial inner surface and a sloped front end surface that corresponds to the boundary surface of the wearing ring. The elastic member is supported between the swing pipe and the wearing ring within the annular space.

    Abstract: A compressor valve for use in a piston type compressor having an annular tapered shaped valve element spring-urged into a valve seat formed between the intake suction side of the valve body and an annular passage formed behind the seat which communicates with a central outlet passage formed in the exhaust side of the valve body. The piston in a compressor adapted to force fluid back through a plurality of inlet passages communicating with an annular passage which communicates with outlets in the valve body, said plurality of inlet passages being sealed by a spring-urged annular valve element. The piston sucks air into the inlet urging the first annular valve element off its seat to allow flow of the gas in through the outlet passage into the piston chamber. The piston then forces the air through the plurality of inlet passages urging the second valve element off its seat such that the gas flows around both the inner and outer sides of the valve element to the outlet of the compressor.
