  • Patent number: 11867473
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for a bipod having pivot and cant functionality built into a unified cant/pivot assembly, housing, and pivot block. Rotation of a locking knob under the housing can gradually increase or decrease friction of the cant and pivoting degrees of freedom. Sufficient loosening of the locking knob can allow a pivot block to be lifted from the housing and rotated 180°, and then retightened to lock in a given pivot position. Before this 180 rotation of the pivot block, the pivot block and hence the firearm is free to pivot up to 10°, or up to 20°, or up to 30°.

  • Patent number: 10619965
Abstract: A bipod for a rifle traditionally has a release button/bracket in the front of the adjustable leg. To release the adjustable leg the shooter must reach forward and push the button/bracket. This forces the shooter to lose the aligned shooting position on the target. The present invention provides a rearward facing lever that the shooter can depress with his free arm while maintaining the shooting position and his finger on the trigger. The lever can be folded up to a neutral position for use in the prior art fashion or for storage. The lever has a pivot arm that pulls the stopper in a ring bracket rearward out of the traditional locking grooves located along the adjustable leg. The invention is suited for either a retrofit or factory new embodiment.

  • Patent number: 10323897
Abstract: A support pod that supports a weapon in a firing position includes a support tube telescopingly joined with a leg having a longitudinal axis. A lock portion defines grooves downwardly angled relative to the longitudinal axis. A guide portion defines recesses downwardly angled relative to the axis. The recesses can be distal and separate from the grooves, and both optionally are downwardly spiraling. The leg is operable in a locked mode, in which a lock element is in a groove, and a guide element is in a corresponding recess, to set a first overall length of the support. The leg can operate in an adjustment mode in which the lock and guide element can transition out from the groove and recess, and can move to other respective grooves and recesses chosen by a user to set the pod at another overall length. A related method of use is provided.

Abstract: The crossbow tripod rest is configured for use with a crossbow. The crossbow tripod rest is configured for use with a tripod. The tripod is further defined with a tripod head and a quick release plate. The quick release plate attaches the crossbow to the tripod head such that the tripod forms a load path that supports the weight of the crossbow above a supporting surface. The crossbow tripod rest comprises a cylindrical structure, a first quadric segment, a second quadric segment, and a plurality of shims. The first quadric segment and the second quadric segment are formed in the cylindrical structure. The plurality of shims secure the crossbow in the crossbow tripod rest.

  • Patent number: 10267587
Abstract: An adjustable sighting and shooting firearm mounting vise receives a firearm to assist shooters with sighting and discharging the firearm. The firearm mounting vise includes a first base support, a second base support, a pair of positional-adjustment tracks, a forend support, a stock support, a trigger actuator, a trigger switch, a controller housing, a wireless receiver, and a microcontroller. The first base support and the second base support the pair of positional-adjustment tracks. The pair of positional-adjustment tracks allows the forend support, the stock support, and the trigger actuator to translate along each positional-adjustment track to accommodate a plurality of firearms to be secured by the firearm mounting vise. The controller housing protects electrical components including the microcontroller and the wireless receiver. The microcontroller receives control signals through the wireless receiver or directly from the trigger switch to activate the trigger actuator and discharging the firearm.

  • Patent number: 10234235
Abstract: An apparatus operates as both a holster and a benchrest for a handgun. The apparatus comprises first and second end walls, and a supporting pad secured between the first and second end walls. As a holster, the first and second end walls and the supporting pad define a cradle adapted for holstering a handgun. The holster may also be flipped upside-down and then operated as a benchrest. When the assembly is operating as a benchrest, a barrel rest may be inserted into a barrel-rest receiver slot on the top-side of the assembly. The barrel rest has a U-channel adapted for supporting the barrel of a handgun. The supporting pad further provides a surface for supporting the grip of the handgun.
