  • Patent number: 10962321
Abstract: A shooting rest for different weapons provides ends that are offset from the central portion of the rest to provide a space that accommodates a portion of the weapon being used with the rest. The shooting rest can be used with one or two supports that engage the weapon being used with the rest. Each support can be rotationally adjusted about a vertical axis and tilted about a horizontal axis. Each support can be tilted inwardly to a storage position for storage and transport of the rest. When in use, the entire rest can be tilted about its main support. • Patent number: 10900736
Abstract: A retractable support assembly for a firearm. The assembly includes a swiveling support structure configured for attachment to or adjacent to the forward end of a firearm extension component on the firearm. The support structure is substantially centered on the longitudinal axis of the firearm barrel and permits movement of the longitudinal axis of the firearm barrel relative to a position fixed by deployment of the assembly for variable aiming of the firearm. The support structure has a central ball unit defined by a channel for passage of a barrel of the firearm. The ball unit is configured for rotatable movement within a socket formed by a rearward ball retention element and a forward ball retention element. The assembly includes a plurality of legs pivotably connected to the support structure for movement between an extended position and a retracted position.

  • Patent number: 10890406
Abstract: A gun rest includes a cushioning body and a knee strapping system. The cushioning body has a top surface, a bottom surface, a retention channel indented on the top surface for supporting a firearm barrel thereat, and a barrel grip provided at the retention channel for preventing inadvertent movement of the firearm barrel along said retention channel. The knee strapping system is extended from the cushioning body for detachably coupling the cushioning body at a knee of an operator to serve as a knee guard. Therefore, the gun rest provides a multi-function of supporting the firearm in a ready position and quickly attaching to the knee of the operator without restricting any movement.

  • Patent number: 10627181
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for a bipod having pivot and cant functionality built into a unified cant/pivot assembly, housing, and pivot block. Rotation of a locking knob under the housing can gradually increase or decrease friction of the cant and pivoting degrees of freedom. Sufficient loosening of the locking knob can allow a pivot block to be lifted from the housing and rotated 180°, and then retightened to lock in a given pivot position. Before this 180 rotation of the pivot block, the pivot block and hence the firearm is free to pivot up to 10°, or up to 20°, or up to 30°.

  • Patent number: 10619965
Abstract: A bipod for a rifle traditionally has a release button/bracket in the front of the adjustable leg. To release the adjustable leg the shooter must reach forward and push the button/bracket. This forces the shooter to lose the aligned shooting position on the target. The present invention provides a rearward facing lever that the shooter can depress with his free arm while maintaining the shooting position and his finger on the trigger. The lever can be folded up to a neutral position for use in the prior art fashion or for storage. The lever has a pivot arm that pulls the stopper in a ring bracket rearward out of the traditional locking grooves located along the adjustable leg. The invention is suited for either a retrofit or factory new embodiment.

Abstract: A novel wearable apparatus for stabilizing a firearm is described. The “Third Arm” apparatus attaches to a tactical vest on one end, and the rail interface system of the firearm on the other end. The arm allows the user to move the firearm with minimum restrictions while providing complete counterbalancing of the firearm, removing the weight of the firearm from the user's arms, thus reducing arm fatigue and improving accuracy. The apparatus enables the use of unconventional weapons systems including high recoil firearms and skeletonized firearms. Third Arm provides a structure to distribute recoil forces and onto which recoil management systems can be placed to aid in shot consistency and reduce discomfort of recoil forces. The apparatus is adjustable for different sized users and different weight firearms.

  • Patent number: 10048034
Abstract: A grasping front support shooting bag for firearm stability has a ‘W’ shape and mass that increases the surface are contact to the firearm and applies support to the firearm at two points spaced apart from each other along the fore end or hand guard of the firearm. The shooting bag has a deliberate shape that allows the shooting bag to conform to substructures or substrates (i.e., objects from which a shot is to be taken) of all shapes to provide a flattened rest that supports multiple types of firearms. The shooting bag is composed of textiles sewn into a unique shape and filled with polypropylene (or other synthetic material) beads that are proportionally massed to provide expanded, pliable surface area to an object to aid in stability for the shooter in any hunting, recreation, competition, or law enforcement capacity.

  • Patent number: 10024621
Abstract: An adjustable sighting and shooting firearm mounting vise receives a firearm to assist new shooters or handicap shooters with sighting and discharging the firearm. The firearm mounting vise includes a base plate, a positional-adjustment track, a forend support, a stock vise, a slide stop, a trigger actuator, a trigger switch, a controller housing, a wireless receiver, and a microcontroller. The base plate supports the positional-adjustment track. The positional-adjustment track allows the forend support, the stock vise, and the trigger actuator to translate along the base plate to accommodate a plurality of firearms to be secured by the firearm mounting vise. The slide stop secures the positional-adjustment track to the base plate. The controller housing protects electrical components including the microcontroller and the wireless receiver.

  • Patent number: 9797673
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a firearm adjacent a window in a wall has an elongate member pivotably coupled to a pivot member, allowing pivoting about a first pivot axis generally perpendicular to a longitudinal length of the elongate member. At least one mounting element is configured for engaging the wall and is pivotably coupled to pivot member to allow pivoting of the pivot member and elongate member together relative to the mounting element about a second pivot axis generally perpendicular to the first pivot axis and to the longitudinal length. A stop selectively limits pivoting of the elongate member about one of the axes, and a firearm support is coupled to the elongate member. During use, one of the axes is generally horizontal and the stop is configured to constrain pivoting of the elongate member about the generally horizontal axis for defining an elevation angle of the elongate member.
