Abstract: Provided in the present invention are a composition for ameliorating or treating a diabetic condition and methods of making and using the same.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of preparing an antithrombotic agent from muskrat musk and an antithrombotic agent having a high potency obtained therefrom, wherein the antithrombotic agent is prepared by treating muskrat musk with ethanol to obtain an ethanol extract; carrying out two normal phase column chromatographies while raising the combination ratio of hexane and ethyl acetate to obtain numerous fractions; carrying out thin layer chromatographies and identifying the material patterns of the fractions with UV lamps and 10% sulfuric acid to divide the materials which have a similar moving distance into groups; measuring a thrombin time of each group to isolate a group having a potent antithrombotic activity; carrying out a reverse phase column chromatography while raising the combination ratio of acetonitrile and water to obtain numerous fractions; and isolating an antithrombotic agent material having a high potency therefrom.

Abstract: A compound for reducing the incidence of pseudofolliculitis combines a mild skin astringent, an oil based epidermal softener, and a hair stiffener. One embodiment of the compound combines refined powdered oatmeal and emollient of the compound combines refined powdered oatmeal and emollient oil, such as mink oil and liquid vitamin A in a petroleum jelly base. The mixture is applied by being massaged into the skin prior to lathering and then again immediately after the rinsing of the face after shaving. Continual usage significantly reduces the eruption of pseudofolliculitis.
Abstract: An adjuvant composition containing at least an alkanolamide surfactant and optionally other surfactants or pesticides or formulation aids. The surfactant preferably is reacted with a fatty acid. The process preferably takes places without the use of alkoxylation.
Abstract: An oil-in-water nanoemulsion in which the oil globules have a mean size of less than 100 nm and which contains an amphiphilic lipid component containing at least one non-ionic amphiphilic lipid which is liquid at an ambient temperature of less than 45.degree. C. The nanoemulsion can be used in the fields of cosmetics and dermopharmaceuticals. The nanoemulsion is stable on storage, can contain significant amounts of oil while retaining good transparency, and can contain heat-sensitive active agents.
Abstract: Soluble human IFN-gamma receptor extracellular fragment and salts, functional derivatives, precursors and active fractions thereof are provided in substantially purified form. They are useful as pharmaceutically active substances for protecting against the deleterious effects of IFN-gamma, e.g. in autoimmune diseases.

Abstract: This invention provides a recipe for making a detoxification medicine named DTS (Deities) for curing drug addiction. This DTS (Deities) medicine comprises no narcotic but mainly is made up by several kinds of effective ingredients of biological substances refined from various natural herbs and bioproducts. Drug addicts can be weaned and cured safely from addiction induced by Heroin, Cocaine, Morphine, Amphetamines, Hemp or Opium, and other substances within 7-30 days, by means of DTS (Deities) which can get rid of drug poisons present in an addict's blood and marrow. Further, DTS (Deities) can also be used to clear away tobacco tar and nicotine deposits so that it serves to wean from cigarette smoking as well.
Abstract: A method of enhancing the durability of an emollient material on a substrate by forming a mixture of an emollient material and an effective amount of an organosilicon compound, and applying the mixture to the substrate to be treated. The organosilicon compound is either an aminofunctional, amidofunctional, or carboxyfunctional, polysiloxane. A skin conditioning composition of enhanced durability is also disclosed which is a mixture of an emollient material and an effective amount of an organosilicon compound which is either an aminofunctional, amidofunctional, or carboxy functional, polysiloxane.
