In another embodiment, it relates to a wax-free mascara composition comprising solid particles of a film-forming acrylic polymer dispersed in a cosmetically acceptable aqueous medium, in which the film-forming acrylic polymer are capable of forming a film having a water-uptake, after immersion for 10 minutes in water at 25° C., of less than 25 wt. %, and wherein the composition has a viscosity, measured at 25° C., at a shear rate of 200 s?1, of from 4 Pa·s to 18 Pa·s. In other embodiments, the invention relates to make-up kits, articles, and methods for making-up and/or coloring human hair, such as eyelashes and/or eyebrows, using these compositions.
