In addition, the composition may lack ingredients that are derived from a palm oil. In an embodiment, the composition is a blend of hydrogenated farnesene and an esters selected from glyceryl triheptanoate, dicapryl succinate, heptyl undecylenate, and mixtures thereof. The composition exhibits an average spreading velocity of about 4 to about 8. Once mixed heating the mixture a predetermined temperature for approximately four hours. Next raising the pH to approximately 4.0 and then adding a predetermined amount of cellulase and invertase to the mixture. Then the mixture is mixed for a predetermined period of time. After mixing, sediment is remove from the mixture and the pH is adjusted to approximately 3.0. The mixture is then reduced to a concentrate.

    Abstract: The present invention relate to a highly efficient and novel method, using clean technologies, for obtaining a natural bioactive concentrate that is rich on polyphenols from olive mill water (OMW). The clean technologies integrate centrifugation, a drowning-out crystallization-based separation process, and vacuum evaporation. The method provides a highly-concentrated polyphenol isolate (up to 99% (mass fraction)) from other components presents in OMW, with up to half of the polyphenol content being hydroxytyrosol. The isolated polyphenols exhibit anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogenic activities; they can be prepared as solid particles, as an aqueous solution, in an emulsion, or as lipidic-based nanoparticles. The isolated polyphenols can be used in the food industry, cosmetic industry, or pharmaceutical industry.

Compositions containing the extract may be used as a food product, beverage, pharmaceutical preparations, nutritional supplements, vitamin supplements, food additives, and food supplements.
